I'm giving it one star because I can't give it less. I have a relative in this care home, and in the short time she's been there, clothes, money, and personal belongings have already been stolen. Be careful if you're thinking of bringing your relatives to this care home because it leaves much to be desired, not only because of the complete lack of care given to the elderly (but also because of the apparent inappropriateness of some of the staff) and, above all, because the management refuses to take responsibility for these thefts.

We had two family members staying there, and both had jewelry stolen, just a couple of weeks apart. One had a necklace she never took off, so it was stolen directly from her, taking advantage of her vulnerability. The other had items stolen from her bedroom drawers. No one in charge has come forward to address the situation.

Terrible. They broke their word. They don't honor their commitments. We had a room reserved, and at the last minute they said there were changes and it wasn't available. Very bad. Not recommended at all.

It's a care home with both positive and negative aspects. My mother was there in April, and I took her out because I wasn't happy with several things. The facilities are very good, the cleanliness is excellent, and the food is good. Among the negative aspects, I should mention that from Friday at noon until Monday at noon, there was no doctor at the care home. As a result, my mother developed cystitis on Friday and didn't receive antibiotics until Monday. At no point did they check on her mid-morning or mid-afternoon to see if she had a fever; I had to call the nurse myself (who was lovely and a good professional) to have her temperature taken and receive medication. My mother wasn't assessed to determine what activities she could participate in. She spent the entire day "parked" at a table. The caregivers were in a corner on their phones or talking amongst themselves all afternoon, completely ignoring the residents. Once, I went down to the doctor to ask for something to lower my mother's fever, and she told me she thought the dosage of sleep medication was inappropriate. I replied that it was her primary care physician's prescription and that I was there because of my mother's fever. She ignored me. Fortunately, the nurse was there, took my mother's temperature, and gave me an ibuprofen. My mother then developed a cough, and I took her home again. She had to be hospitalized for a week due to bronchitis that hadn't been treated at the nursing home. I was very dissatisfied with the medical care, the lack of activities and staff to run them, and the lack of attention from the caregivers.

Now called BOUZO Zaragoza, it's the same dog with a different collar. Formerly, it's the ORPEA Zaragoza Residence: appearances can be deceiving. This senior living center is located in a former university residence hall, and its facilities, for the most part, resemble a 5-star hotel. However, it has: - Rates that don't reflect the quality of care received. A stay costs approximately €2,700 per month. - Inept and unprofessional management with limited experience that disregards the needs of residents and their families. - A constantly rotating medical team that is not available 7 days a week. There are also periods without a doctor due to voluntary resignations, vacations, or similar reasons. - A constantly rotating nursing team with an insufficient number of professionals on weekends and during the night shift. - A team of geriatric care assistants who are poorly trained and uncommitted. - The care offered is not person-centered, but rather barracks-like, with hours more akin to a hospital, not a home where residents should feel at home. - They have their own kitchen, but it's of poor quality, despite the impressive menus advertised on the premises. - There is absolute neglect of the residents: they can't tell you if they've eaten, why they've vomited, why they've had diarrhea, how they fell, how they slept, etc. There's a lack of attention, a lack of answers for family members, and they pass the buck... The negligence of the geriatric care assistants leads to unnecessary hospital admissions... - They claim to follow the guidelines of the Madrid branch, the Government of Aragon, or the Ministry of Health, depending on what suits them. - Of course, they operate with the blessing of the unscrupulous officials in the Government of Aragon, who allow them to keep this operation running, with 32 subsidized places, financial assistance linked to private places (Dependency Law), and 100% private places. They exploit the aging population, the supposed need for professional care that can't be provided at home, and the scarcity of facilities for their own gain: profit for profit's sake at the expense of the well-being of the elderly. Places like this should be shut down.
