Opiniones

My mother was in this care home a few years ago, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The experience was awful. Very little attention, zero information. One day I found her with her face completely bruised, and when I asked for an explanation, they told me she had fallen flat on her face from her wheelchair. And since they didn't have permission to strap her in, she was unrestrained. They didn't even call me to tell me, nor did they ask my permission to restrain her. And they told me this afterward! Disgraceful! The whole "they do everything for the elderly" thing is a LIE!!!

I wanted to bring to your attention that the mode of transport used in this business is quite dangerous, as some drivers engage in reckless racing, cutting you off, braking suddenly, and blocking your path on the highways. They also make obscene gestures and hurl insults. I don't think this is the best way to transport our elderly. Be careful! 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

My father has been a user of the day center since January 2023. Due to family circumstances, we have no other option for him to be supervised and cared for. I have no complaints about the staff who directly attend to him (although a little more information would sometimes be appreciated), but I do have complaints about the management, especially regarding the transportation service. From the beginning, it has been common for us to be informed at a moment's notice that the transportation service is suspended for one or two days for various reasons: staff vacations, sick leave, vehicle breakdowns, etc. But two days ago, without further explanation, we were told that starting the following day, the service would be suspended for fifteen days. We requested an alternative, such as a taxi service, which has not been considered at all. The quality department at the Madrid headquarters says they are very sorry and are working on it, but they haven't explored any other possibilities. The La Puebla residence itself hasn't even bothered to reply to emails offering any explanation or attempting to find solutions. As a result, the families of the day center users had to scramble to find a way for my father to get to La Puebla in an afternoon. It remains to be seen whether or not they will charge us at the end of the month for the transportation service that wasn't provided. I can understand many unforeseen circumstances and I'm aware that managing them isn't always easy, but I neither understand nor agree with being ignored and given no explanation or alternative, especially since they boast that their mission "is to meet the needs and expectations of residents, users, and families."

RESIDENCE HIDES THE TRUTH. My aunt has been in this residence for several years. I've never spoken out, but it's time to speak out. For the family, everything is fine, but behind the scenes, you discover the depth of inhumanity that permeates this residence. Over the past few summers, we've seen how the residence was filled with flies, elderly people covered in urine, and the diaper of a completely dependent person was changed once a day. The latest development was this: my aunt hasn't eaten for two days (extremely unusual for her). The DGA (General Directorate of General Administration) saw her this morning in very poor condition, and they themselves asked the residence why that woman wasn't in a hospital. This won't be left like this; justice will be served for people who can't speak.
