Opiniones

Hello. It's been almost two years since we found ourselves needing to find a care home for my father. We visited several care homes to see which would be the most suitable and decided on Orpea. I thought that by taking my father to a care home, paying what they charge, he would be well cared for, and that we would go to see him thinking he had been well looked after the rest of the day. It's clear we were wrong. As the days go by, you realize you have to be on top of things every single day. You realize that with dependent people like my father, the staff they have is insufficient. How many times, when going to see him, it's the family member who has to notice that he's not the same as the day before, that something is wrong, and hoping it's not the weekend. When you have to file a complaint with the director (Víctor) or the assistant director (Rosa), the first few times after speaking with them, I thought, "How nice, how understanding!" Well, no, you realize they're not at all helpful. At first I learned the names of the nursing assistants and nurses, but over time I realized it was impossible, they keep changing.

With this message, we wanted to thank all the staff at the residence for the wonderful care they gave my father and us, his family, in the final moments of his illness. The center seemed like a spacious place where we could visit him, even the youngest member of the family. Those moments when my father could see his grandson enjoying himself in the play area and the outdoor patio were truly special. My father arrived very thin due to his illness, and Pilar and Isabel went out of their way to provide him with food, encouragement, and joy that were always there. Likewise, the rest of the support staff were there for us when we needed it most. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Víctor, Rosa, and Eugenio, for your understanding and for helping us during such a difficult time. We will always remember you and recommend you.

Pleasant place. Treats older people with courtesy and respect. Spacious rooms. Good access and parking.

Good facilities but terrible service. Lack of staff and inadequate attention for the amount you pay. Complaining is useless. I'm sorry, but I'm totally unhappy. It's best not to mention the food.

I have a relative there, and it's a disgrace. They don't treat them as they deserve. They completely ignore them. If you're not there every day and take care of them, they don't even do it. It's inhumane. I complain to the manager, and the response I get is that they'll take care of it, but days go by and nothing changes. The assistants blame an 80-year-old with cognitive impairment for doing things they're not aware of. But they don't forget to get paid every month. It's incredibly expensive for the poor service they provide. There's no air conditioning, and the rooms are incredibly hot. I'm thinking of reporting it to social services as soon as we get her out of there.
