My gratitude to the team of workers who do such hard work every day, always with a smile, and whose efforts aren't always appreciated. When I asked my mother, "Are you happy?" she would reply, "Very happy because they take such good care of me." I think that says it all. But I want to give special thanks to Lito, who was on my mother's ward and treated her with great affection and was always looking after her. To Rosa, a worker who helped us find peace with her words. To Elena for her empathy, her warmth, and her affection; she was with my mother until the very end. And finally, to Mabel, efficient, resourceful, always ready to help and provide information on anything you need, who came up to our room before leaving to give us a hug I will never forget.

Last January, on a day as special as Three Kings' Day, we went to the center to participate in an activity with residents and their families. The joy they all radiate when we come to do activities like these is always a pleasure. It's always a pleasure to come to Ballesol Gobernador Viejo and be able to do our bit to make their stay at the center a little more pleasant 💙

Dear Ballesol Gobernador Viejo team, I don't have enough words to thank you for everything you've done for my grandmother Josefina and me over these years. Thank you for caring for her with such love, for always treating her with dignity, even when the illness gradually robbed her of her words and gestures. Thank you for speaking to her with tenderness, for the small daily attentions, for being there during difficult times with such patience and humanity. Thank you also for being there for me. For the smiles, for the words of encouragement, for making me feel that I wasn't alone on this journey. I always felt supported. Horrible, terrible treatment of patients, I have seen physical and psychological abuse there... don't even think about putting a loved one in this residence.

My father was discharged from the hospital after hip surgery in August, and we took him there to receive proper care since he couldn't walk. We informed the director and the doctor that he wanted to get out of bed at night and that they needed to keep a close eye on him because he couldn't walk. The result was that on the first day, when the nurse arrived to bathe him, she found him in the bed next to his. We spoke with management, and they assured us that there was staff on duty at night to monitor patients with these conditions. Once again, we insisted that they needed to be extra vigilant to prevent him from falling. In the early hours of the following morning, they found my father lying in the doorway of his room with his hip prosthesis out of place, so we had to take him back to the hospital. My father was only there for two days. The response we received was that elderly people fall. I don't think I need to give any more information, except that I DO NOT RECOMMEND this 5-star residence to anyone who cares about their family.
