On behalf of my entire family, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for the care and attention my father received during his stay with you until his passing last week. For many months, he found a true home, and we had the peace of mind of knowing he was in the best possible hands. From the very first day, we were impressed by how pleasant the residence is: bright, welcoming, with that spacious garden he so enjoyed. My father often said that being there was like staying in a luxury hotel, a place where he lacked absolutely nothing. Most importantly for us, he was at peace and lived in tranquility. He felt loved, supported, and respected. You ensured that his daily life was filled with dignity, affection, and well-being. Deeply grateful, he returned that affection with his cheerful disposition and constant smile. For all of this, for every detail, every kind word, every gesture of professionalism and humanity, thank you. Thank you for being there for him, for caring for him, and for making this stage of his life warm, serene, and full of love. We will always remember what you did for him. We wanted to express our gratitude for making us feel like family during our mother's first Christmas at the Sanitas La Seu residence in Valencia. The organization of our Three Kings' Day celebration with her and the other families was outstanding and truly heartwarming. Today I want to talk about the La Seu Residence in Valencia. My mother lived there for a little over three years until she passed away. We were always happy with the decision we made to place her there. It's very centrally located and therefore very well connected, which allowed us to visit her daily at first so she wouldn't feel abandoned. It has a delightful interior garden with flowers, trees, and birds, and thanks to the tables, chairs, and parasols, it's a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors with your family. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very bright. The food is also very good, both for its quality, its personalized nutritional composition tailored to each resident's needs, and its careful presentation. But everything I've said so far pales in comparison to what I'm about to mention. What is truly remarkable is the way the residents are treated, the affection, kindness, and patience shown by the staff who care for them, the dedication with which they look after them. They are very professional and demonstrate a great vocation, because it is a very demanding job that not just anyone is suited for. My mother was very dependent; everything had to be done for her, and you should have seen how much love they gave her. I also want to highlight the medical and nursing team. It gave us, her daughters (two of us are doctors and one is a psychologist), great peace of mind knowing they were there looking after her. They are outstanding professionals who pulled my mother through on several occasions when she was close to death, and thanks to their quick and professional intervention, they saved her. A huge thank you to the fantastic Dr. Piedad, and a huge thank you to the nurses Ana, Cristal, Marta, Ana Michelle, Aranxtxa, and Idalmis. All seven of you are wonderful, caring, compassionate, approachable, and highly trained. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and a thousand times thank you. I also want to highlight the great work and empathy of Sara, the director. During my mother's stay, she facilitated several things that made it easier for me to visit her frequently, but above all, I want to emphasize how she treated us, her family, in my mother's final days. She gave us a room for my mother and us for her last five days, so we could experience the process in complete privacy, as if we were in our own home. There were eight of us family members who stayed there in shifts, and during all that time they cared for us, kept us company, comforted us, pampered us, and fed us. Many thanks to Mercedes, the supervisor, who was constantly looking after us and made sure we had everything we needed, and many thanks to all the staff for the affection, understanding, and support they gave us during such a difficult time. I can never thank them enough for the treatment we received and the great humanity of everyone who works there. I want to mention Rebeca, who gave my sister and me long, heartfelt hugs as we left, making us feel comforted during that difficult time. In short, my words fall short despite my lengthy descriptions, and I haven't even mentioned many other people who also cared for my mother. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone!
