Opiniones

My mother spent her last two years here, with very advanced Alzheimer's disease. I always saw her relaxed and calm, and everyone at the residence cared for her with great affection. With this review, I want to thank you for taking such good care of her.

The cafeteria is an absolute disgrace! The coffee is more expensive than anywhere else. This Wednesday I paid €9 for two decaf coffees (one was for a resident), one latte, and a hot chocolate! It's outrageous! I can get a coffee cheaper at Puerta del Sol. These prices shouldn't be allowed in a residence.

My grandmother stayed at this center for 27 days. She was assigned to a floor for residents with independent living despite being unstable and at risk of falling. This happened one night when she woke up disoriented, fell, and with the door closed, no one heard her cry for help. She managed to access her cell phone and called the National Police. A pair of officers came to her aid with an ambulance, in which she was taken to the hospital. The director's response (three days later, because she didn't come to the center over the weekend) was that no one had informed her of the incident, that she was finding out from us, the family members, and that she would investigate what happened. What happened isn't rocket science or a simple matter of investigation. My grandmother should have been on a floor with more supervision and resources for emergencies, and at night, sufficient staff are needed to patrol and answer the call bells. The staff, for the most part, is kind and attentive, although there are too few of them. My grandmother had a few isolated complaints about one of the staff members we spoke to, as the management is deplorable; they either don't know or claim not to know what's happening at the facility. Our experience has been heartbreaking and disheartening. My grandmother entered the residence on March 1st and passed away on March 27th, 2023, and I haven't had the strength to write this review until now.

The food is terrible. My relative goes hungry most of the time, and that's just not right. It's a disgrace.

LAMENTABLE. I'm giving it one star because there's no other. The room was priced at 2,800 euros. The room was in a terrible state. The furniture was old and worn. The television was held up by planks salvaged from a demolition site. The staff was insufficient, although willing to get the job done as best they could. Don't trust the photos of the individual rooms; they're nothing like the pictures. I wouldn't put my worst enemy in there. I have another relative who's been to Domus Vi Viveiro and is now in Aldán, and this place is nothing compared to what you've seen. Please inform yourself before putting a relative in there.
