I spent the month of October at the Sanitas Mirasierra Residence recovering from knee replacement surgery. The facilities themselves are very good, and the caregivers are very kind and eager to do their best, although it's not easy for them due to staff shortages. Sometimes you have to wait for something you need, but they have so many people to attend to that it's impossible. I think that for the price you pay, there should be more staff. The food is generally good, but when it comes to fish... nobody can eat it. The worst aspect is the healthcare; I don't know if the doctor is actually a doctor or just an administrative assistant, since their job is limited to processing the medical reports that the residents give them, and that's it. In a month, I only saw them once, on the day I was admitted, when they simply entered the data from the report they had from La Paz Hospital into the computer, and again on the day I was leaving, when I ran into them in a hallway and they asked, "Are you leaving today?" I witnessed the case of a person who had to go to the hospital twice, staying for a period of time, and upon their return, the staff didn't even bother to check on them. Therefore, my rating for medical care is ZERO. The nursing service also leaves much to be desired, although there's a range of quality, I think it needs improvement. You have to be vigilant, or if you're not careful, they might slip something through the net. The medication management is also very poor. When you arrive, you hand over all your medication, and then they don't give you the ones you handed in, even if they're the same medication, just not yours, which makes it much harder to identify them. Twice, instead of giving me my stomach protector, they gave me a blood pressure medication. What happens to people who can't manage their own medication? I don't even want to think about it. In short, for me, the worst thing about that residence is the healthcare, and I think it should be a major issue. The cleanliness also needs significant improvement.

This nursing home has deteriorated significantly, becoming very run-down over the last year. Fewer staff, worse resident care, worse food, and terrible cleaning. My mother has been at the nursing home for thirteen years, and it's nothing like what it is now. It used to be a nursing home that offered good service. Now, I can say it's very shabby, and yet they continue to raise the price significantly every year, with prices listed in line with higher-end private nursing homes that offer worse conditions, worse service, and much less personalized care. If there's a health issue with a resident, they don't inform family members personally. Unless it's serious, they assume you log into the app daily to see the care report. With the first heat wave this summer, the rooms were at 27 degrees, and my mother couldn't stay in her room, and that was the case for two weeks until they fixed it. Despite the heat, the rule is that they wouldn't turn on the air conditioning until 12:00. Speaking with other relatives of residents, they agree on the lack of care for residents due to the lack of staff. The rooms and common areas are poorly cleaned; you can see dirt in every nook and cranny. I've attached a photo of the back of a stretcher in the room, which shows it hasn't been swept or mopped in several days, if not weeks.

I want to thank all the staff at this center for the care and affection they show my mother. From the day we decided to take this difficult step, every smile from the caregivers reminds us that we made the right decision. A huge thank you to the amazing team of physiotherapists, led by Maria, who have helped her walk again and allow us to take walks like we haven't done in years. A big hug to everyone.

The residence looks pleasant and clean, with a good resident atmosphere, but the rate is outrageous for the poor service provided. The service in every sense is terrible. There is tremendous staff turnover, especially among doctors... in one year there have been numerous changes, and this essential service in a residence has been left untreated for several days. During holidays, weekends, and vacation periods, there are staff shortages, and residents are not properly cared for. It is a restraint-free facility, but there is no monitoring to prevent falls among residents or to ensure proper medical evaluations. The staff often call to offer activities and services that are not included in the monthly fee. However, they don't call to report anything important; at most, they write through the app.

This review is for the social worker's management. I visited the nursing home to inquire about the facility and see it for a temporary stay following surgery. She told me they didn't take reservations, but a week's notice was sufficient. I called to see how the check-in would be handled once I was discharged from surgery, and she said she would call me. After four days, she didn't call or answer the phone, avoiding the issue. I needed to know if it would be possible so I could make my arrangements. That's where the problems started, T.S. Seeing his neglect, I sent him an email to see if he at least knew if it was possible or not to check into the Residence. Long story short, he called me and told me that they didn't accept admissions on weekends and that they didn't have any single room spaces available, and that only a double room for single use (the most expensive one) was available. He could have told me this information on the first day... draw your own conclusions, whoever is reading the reviews. The facilities are luxurious... I don't know about the treatment of the residents... Every man for himself.
