Opiniones

My heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their dedication and commitment to my mother, "LUISA." She spent her last two years feeling at home and among the family; she was delighted. Sadly, she left us, but I will always remember your tremendous humanity toward the residents. Again, thank you very, very much.

Horrible experience at this care home. The only good thing is that the staff is very friendly, at least to visitors. I took my 88-year-old mother, who uses a wheelchair, for a three-week stay. When she returned home, her legs were bruised, she had an intestinal obstruction, a urinary tract infection, a raw wound on one of her buttocks, and pulmonary edema. Consequence: emergency hospital admission. As if all that weren't enough, they had the nerve to charge €67.60 for clothing labeling, even though all my mother's clothes were labeled with her full name. Of course, they didn't say a word about the missing clothes or items that arrived faded. I'd like to know what the people responsible for these kinds of companies would think if their parents were treated this way.

My deepest gratitude to the entire team at Sanitas Almenara. My wife, Toñi, has spent the last five years there and has felt right at home. Without a doubt, the best thing about this residence is its staff. Thank you so much for everything.

Don't put your eldest son in this nursing home, especially if he can't communicate or complain. My mother was given double medication for Alzheimer's and was constantly half asleep and stopped eating. She almost died. If I hadn't asked to be taken to the hospital for a urinary tract infection and clear malnutrition, she wouldn't be with us. In fact, the admission paperwork says it was at the request of her children. By the way, she spent 10 days in the hospital until she recovered; it wasn't a whim of mine to admit her. The doctor isn't there on weekends, and if something happens to them... well, anyway. They put her in a sort of sickroom with chipped walls and no air conditioning, where there was another emaciated, dying elderly woman uncovered and with insufficient supervision. In two months, she fell three times (they even had to give her stitches). She inexplicably fell off the couch, and they say her wheelchair tipped over (how? I don't know). Despite my complaints, the Community of Madrid wouldn't let me change residences until after four months. Alzheimer's patients are kept on the ground floor with opaque windows so other residents can't see them, instead of considering their dignity and giving them a good view of the garden. The garden is beautiful, but the flooring isn't well-maintained for elderly people who might trip. Fortunately, my mother has been in another nursing home in Madrid for over a year (which is 2 km from my neighborhood, instead of the 45 km that the CCMM ordered). In this nursing home, she hasn't fallen once, and when she had a urinary tract infection (once), she was immediately taken to the hospital, where she recovered quickly. In this new nursing home, since it's in the city of Madrid, we can visit her often and keep an eye on her. I expected a response to my complaints, both from the CCMM and from this nursing home's Sanitas complaint form, but nothing came. I don't know how they get the ISO 9001 Quality Certification. Everything I've said is perfectly verifiable. To be fair, I'll say that the caregivers were pleasant and seemed like good professionals. The entire staff was very friendly. There was a lot of sending reports to cell phones, but terrible care and a complete lack of solutions to problems that should have been addressed by experienced staff. Now I can compare it with other nursing homes and say that the situation at the Almenara nursing home is more than worrying. My mother walked in with a companion and left in a wheelchair. I'm giving one star because I can't give it a zero.

We want to thank all the staff at this care home for the wonderful care they gave my father-in-law, with so much love and affection. It was a short time, as he sadly passed away, but from the moment we contacted them until his last day, the care was excellent. Thank you so much for the great work you do.
