Opiniones

After visiting the care home well in advance, the director promised my mother that she would have a place by the end of December and was first on the waiting list. As the date approached, and December 31st arrived, he hadn't contacted me. I called and sent him a WhatsApp message, but he didn't even bother to reply. What a lack of professionalism and empathy!

DO CLIENTS HAVE TO PAY THE FEES FOR RESIDENCE SEARCH PORTALS? This is what happened to me with MiResi and Centro Geriátrico Miraflores II. The only two stars go to Alicia, the person who assisted us in person. 1. I ask MiResi for information. They find me the residences that fit my profile, and they quickly put me in touch with a few at no cost, as stated on their website. 2. Among many others, Miraflores II calls me, and I arrange an in-person visit. 3. I visit the residence. We receive fantastic service, we love it, and we move on to the price section. 4. In the image, you can see the rate, the offer, and an amount that says €980, a non-refundable amount. 5. I ask about that amount and am told it's the commission MiResi charges Miraflores II for each reservation obtained. I don't like what I'm hearing, but I'm waiting for confirmation of the spot. 6. They tell me there's a spot available and that to formalize the reservation I have to pay €980. What a coincidence! 7. I ask if that amount is deducted from the first monthly payment, if it's a deposit, or what it covers. 8. Miraflores II tells me that the MiResi portal doesn't charge anything to users, but that they do pass on the commission charged by search engines to their clients. In exchange, they make you an offer so that you can recover that amount during the first 6 months after the eldest child's admission. If you cancel the contract before 6 months, you lose that offer. In other words, to maintain the terms of the contract you signed, you are required to stay for 6 months. Is the proposal transparent and clear? I don't think so, and that's why I haven't accepted the financial proposal they made me for my family member's admission. I'm including the images of the residence's director's response for the readers of this review to evaluate. I'm also including the thread of responses and the proposed financial terms, which include the €980 non-refundable offer. I hope it helps future applicants have all the necessary and clear information about the conditions this residence offers potential clients who have previously visited one of the search portals.

In time, I will explain this phrase in detail: "If you want your family member to LIVE, take them away from this residence." I'm clicking a star so it lets me post. Since you're going to deny my comment, I won't hesitate to include names, positions, etc. DON'T BE IMPATIENT. WHEN I PUBLISH THE DATA, YOU'LL KNOW PERFECTLY WHO I AM. OF COURSE, I'LL MENTION MY NAME... YOU DESERVE NO LESS.

Last August, we moved our mother to this residence, overwhelmed by her situation at home and trusting in the excellent recommendations we had received from a family-run and welcoming community. Although the beginning was difficult due to her complex dementia, we soon realized we had made the right decision. The staff has been incredibly kind, compassionate, and loving. We want to express our deepest gratitude to the entire team: the caregivers, the doctor and her assistants, the physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrist, kitchen and cleaning staff, and receptionists. They all always found time to smile at her, chat with her, and share their thoughts with us. We also want to thank Gerardo for managing the residence, ensuring everything runs smoothly and with the compassion they deserve. Thank you for making this difficult process easier. Warmest regards to all. Pilar's Family

In February of this year, I decided to look for a private nursing home for my mother, since she only had a grade 2 and had had that grade checked just two weeks earlier to get her to the maximum level. Being on such a long waiting list and having suffered a significant health regression due to surgery in January, I decided to look at private nursing homes. As soon as you walk into the lobby, you realize you're in good hands; it's often said that if you see a staff member smiling and joking, it means they're happy in their position. Both the staff and the residents themselves were happy, and it showed. And when Gerardo saw me, it was clear to me: my mother would be admitted to that nursing home. He's a man who knows what he's doing... However, as fate would have it, that same afternoon they called me from the Community of Madrid to tell me they'd given her a place in a public one, so I ultimately didn't contact them, as my mother will probably be admitted to another one this month. However, I've decided to give a positive review because I think they deserve it. I don't understand the negative reviews, but I do see that one of the people has registered twice to post negative things, so I don't think it's even worth mentioning. Gerardo, thank you so much for your composure and your humanity. I'm so sorry it ended up not being possible, but if in the future any of my acquaintances need one, it will be the first residence I'll mention. Thank you so much for everything, and good musical taste! :)
