Opiniones

I am shocked by my mother-in-law's decline, both in weight and appearance. I went to visit her with my wife and she didn't even have the strength to stand up and we had to ask for a chair so she wouldn't fall. The next day she was at the nursing home clinic with anemia and a urinary tract infection, but according to them it was nothing.

Good evening, I visited my mother and it broke my heart. Her hair was dirty, she was falling out, she hadn't changed her clothes in six days, and the beds weren't made at noon. Someone please help us get this sorted out and shut down that nursing home. And the facilities are appalling, etc., etc.

My mother is back at this care home again, getting worse every day. She came in with a cane and now she's in a wheelchair. The place is filthy and neglected; there's stagnant water, and in spring and summer, we can't go for walks because of the mosquitoes... This care home should be closed. There are no activities, no allergy services. Nothing at all. We try to find something good, but there isn't one. It's so painful.

If you have a dependent relative with cognitive impairment, eliminate this nursing home from your list. The facility is severely undermaintained and dirty, the rooms are very small, the staff depends on whoever you get; some are there by vocation and others because they have to work there. And, above all, what's worse, you notice the sloppiness in the tasks or the lack of follow-up, and the coordinators and medical staff lie to you. If you love your relative, don't take them there. In our case, they've already been hospitalized for an infection, and we're hoping the mandatory period in the CAM will pass before they can be transferred.
