Opiniones

I want to thank the management, Elena, for her professionalism, organization, and management. I especially want to thank her for her support and guidance during my father's admission, which helped ease our fears and uncertainties. Thank you to all the staff for the vital work you do with our elderly residents. Thank you for introducing me to such dedicated families, and thank you for sharing experiences with the residents that remind me that smiles and hugs are never too old. Thank you for making my father feel welcome.

DEATH OF A RESIDENT I am his daughter. I used to visit my father every day and stay to feed him. On October 4th, I arrived and three residents told me that my father had fallen. The poor man kept saying his whole body hurt. I asked the occupational therapist, and he said he didn't know anything because he wasn't there and hadn't been informed. But he had to help me lift him into his wheelchair because he couldn't stand on his own. A little while later, the director informed me about the fall, saying she had examined him and that nothing was wrong. Who saw him if the doctor and nurses weren't there? That afternoon, my brother went to see him. He was having trouble breathing and was in pain, so he informed the center. The next day, October 5th, my brother went again and saw that he was in very bad shape. He informed the director again, this time. They took his oxygen saturation, gave him oxygen, and called an ambulance. They took his saturation again, and it was 60. If my brother hadn't alerted them to my father's condition, he would have died there, suffocated and with a broken hip. They discovered it at the hospital because I informed them of the fall. He was in a lot of pain. My father had severe pneumonia and, of course, a broken hip, according to the hospital report. He was so fragile that they had to wait to stabilize him. Even then, they didn't know if he would survive the surgery, and if he did, the days afterward would be critical. It was unlikely he would overcome this. 95 years old with severe pneumonia and a broken hip was very difficult. The nursing home insists they attended to him immediately. They told the occupational therapist in front of me, "You saw it." I asked him in front of them, and he continued saying that he found out after I did, so he couldn't attend to him immediately. I didn't see any doctors or nurses there. They also said that, in their opinion, his hip wasn't broken, and wondered if something had happened in the ambulance. MY FATHER DIED ON OCTOBER 17TH BECAUSE HE COULDN'T BREATHE AND HE HAD A HIP PROSTHESIS. I saw the security camera footage of my father falling, and I also saw him on the floor. It was brutal. What I didn't see were any doctors or nurses on those cameras.

Terrible treatment of the elderly. I just have to say, don't take your loved ones there because they're very friendly up front, but when you turn around, they don't treat the elderly well. They ignored my father-in-law when he fell; no one looked at him, resulting in a broken hip and oxygen saturation below 60. My father-in-law unfortunately passed away a few days later. I don't recommend it.

Quiero agradecer a todo el equipo que forma parte de esta resistencia los cuidados y atenciones hacia mí padre durante los meses que estuvo ahí. A dirección, María, Vanesa, Gobernantas.

My mother stayed here this August and was very happy. The care was excellent, friendly, and compassionate; all the staff were very attentive to the residents. The rooms were very clean, and the food was good. They also have a space where they present the meals daily so the residents can see what's on offer and appreciate the quality. All the staff at the center are very professional. Elena, the social worker, is very professional and provides all the necessary information with great kindness. It's a residence where you feel like you're part of a family.
