Opiniones
I'm going to tell you the story of my parents in this nursing home. It all started when my mother was admitted to the Ramón y Cajal Hospital after a fall. This monstrosity then entered my life. I had to admit my father to the same facility because my mother had complications. Since I couldn't be everywhere at once, I thought it was the best option. My father walked in, and after a week they put him in a wheelchair—one less problem for the nursing home. My father hasn't walked since. The staff is all Latino, except for the administrative staff and management. By that I mean they're unqualified, with just eyeliner and manicures and little else. The medical staff are also all Latino. When my mother was discharged from the hospital three months after her admission, it was decided to take her to the nursing home so they could provide rehabilitation and help her regain some mobility. She lasted six days; she died that night. The last time I spoke to my mother was over the phone. She was angry because they hadn't come to put her to bed by 10:30 p.m. The next day at nine in the morning, they called to tell me she had died. What happened? To this day, I'm still completely traumatized. The day before she died, she told me that she had been dropped twice. I could continue telling my father's story, but I think that deserves a separate account.

We are grateful for the magnificent professional and personal care my mother received during her time at the Residence. They exceeded my highest expectations.

During the month and a half my mother was in this residence, she was very well cared for and looked after. The entire staff is wonderful… caring and professional. Thank you for your attention during this time.

They cared for my mother with so much love and affection. They are wonderful. All of them. From the receptionists to the assistants, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, entertainment staff, supervisors... Everyone always had a smile for her. And she smiled for everyone. She had very severe dementia, and they cared for her with so much love. I will always be grateful for their kindness and love in caring for my mother. Even in her final moments, they were wonderful.

My aunt didn't want to go to a nursing home and ended up spending her last year at Geriasa. It became her home; she was very happy and just wanted to be there. She exercised, ate well, and spent the evenings with her friends (they were her new family) and with the ward's activities. There's a cafeteria and a terrace where you can have a drink with the residents, and you can go out to lunch with them. She was in constant contact with the healthcare workers and staff.
