Opiniones

With one because there's no such thing as a lower score. My mother-in-law was there for a year and at no point did she adapt. They didn't even try. The geriatrician who treated her outside the residence told me it was a very poor residence from a medical perspective. I was able to verify this: they skipped medications; they gave their shakes to other people. One of the doctors told me she was a pediatrician in her country. On one occasion, she fell, and on another occasion, Gasion had dermatitis, and without consulting us, they took her to the hospital and left her alone for more than six hours. And when they came to pick her up, she hadn't eaten, hadn't drunk, and was in terrible shape. The management is very young, with no empathy. A disaster.

Honestly, it couldn't be any other way. When the care of our elderly falls into the hands of franchises, something is bound to go wrong. My father has only been there for two months (luckily for him), and the attention and care leave much to be desired. I could go on and on, but I won't, and I'm not going to waste any more time at this residence. For example, when I arrived to visit my father and got out of the elevator, I heard him ask to go to the bathroom. The response was blunt: "Can't you see we can't right now? Go on top of it; that's what diapers are for!" They use diapers for their own convenience. The other day, there was a gentleman asking for help because the footrest on the sofa had trapped his feet, and no one came until I went over, freed him, and the poor man had bruises on his shins from the pressure of the footrest. Anyway, as I said, I could go on forever. I'm including some sample photos of the cleaning. I arrived for a visit at 11:00 AM and the room wasn't fully cleaned, and sometimes even during the afternoon visit. Research and carefully consider residences before choosing this one, and don't rely on online reviews that all seem good. You pay a hefty sum (it's not exactly cheap), and when I went to pick up my father, who couldn't walk, they asked me if I had already paid for a wheelchair. Yes, I had. You pay over €2,000, and if you want a wheelchair, you have to rent it. To top it all off, on the day we picked up my father, nobody—and I mean nobody—bothered to say goodbye, talk to us, etc. We went up to the room, packed our suitcase, took it downstairs without seeing a soul except the receptionist, went back to the residence, went up to get my father, and left. We only stopped at reception where they had left a form for us to sign.

My brother-in-law is at the nursing home, and I can say that, from a facility perspective, it's very good. Regarding the care provided by the staff, from reception to the cafeteria, and especially those who work in close contact with the residents: doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and assistants, all excellent. The director is also very attentive and professional. But since nothing is perfect, the downside is two members of the administrative and social unit who, after treating my wife and me in a contemptuous manner and raising their voices to explain something as simple as visiting hours, leave a bitter taste in their mouths because the sad thing is that they refuse to apologize. I attribute this in part to their young age and very limited knowledge of how to handle even minimally conflictive situations with family members. It seems that the culture of "ageism" and "throwaway" has some followers... For everything else, this nursing home is recommended.

Hello, three months ago I admitted my aunt. She was disoriented and couldn't walk. Now she's being cared for and is very stable. We're very happy with her stay there. Many thanks to all the staff there.

But they believe in these chains, and they're paying a fortune. We should take to the streets to denounce the treatment of our elderly, as the institutions, in this case the Community of Madrid, are doing.
