I can only comment on my first impression, as I went to ask for information about the center, and the person who "helped" me (if you can call it that) left me hanging twice (once to attend to those who came in after me, and again after telling me that the person who was supposed to help me was in a meeting and would be a long time... She offered to give me my name and phone number so they could contact me, and when I was about to give it to them, they started walking down the hall). It's true that she apologized (the first time, when I said "Oh, that's nice" after being left hanging)... But the second time, she insulted me, called me insolent, and yelled at me when I pointed out that it was the second time she'd left me hanging. Of course, I called her rude and left, grateful that she behaved that way, because if a new potential customer receives that kind of treatment, I don't want to imagine what they might do to vulnerable people.

Unfortunately for my relative, it's a terrible place. The food is awful, and they don't care for residents with illnesses or problems. My relative had to be taken to the emergency room after much insistence because the doctor didn't think it was necessary. When they arrived at the hospital, they said they were dehydrated and malnourished. They had a fall in their room, and it took hours for them to come and see what was wrong, only getting help because another resident heard them scream. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. It seems like, since they're elderly, the sooner they die, the better.

I am delighted with this residence. I was very afraid to take my mother to a care home, but work schedules and the care she needs made it necessary. After four months, I have to say that at Amavir she feels right at home. The staff is dedicated to their residents, kind and friendly, and they accept and understand all the requests from family members. My mother now has companionship and the care she requires. The facilities are very well maintained, and it's wonderful to see the staff's genuine dedication to helping others. Thank you so much.

My father was taken to the hospital without our knowledge. Regarding your response, the director confirmed that the communication system with the family had failed. It's not just a perception that my father was in the hospital without any notification. They made a single call to inform us and then "forgot." This is just one of many problems we've had with the care home.
