Opiniones

My father has been in Alcorcón for a year. He's comfortable and settled in well. Almost all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, which makes him feel right at home. Visiting hours are very flexible, and the staff is very welcoming. Plus, it's very close to our house. There are things that could be improved, as in any place, but overall, the residents are happy.

For almost five years, my mother and I—and initially, my father as well—lived at the Amavir Alcorcón Residence. During those five years, the residence became my second home, and all the staff (caregivers, doctors, nurses, cafeteria staff, receptionists, cleaning staff, social workers, etc.) became my second family. I will never forget the care and affection with which the caretakers treated my mother throughout this time, especially in her final days. Their expressions said it all. Thank you, Paula, for your empathy, understanding, and affection. Thank you to everyone. I would also like to express my gratitude to the families of other residents, colleagues, and friends who have been with us all this time. My sincerest thanks. It was undoubtedly the best place my mother could have been. Goodbye! With love, Daniel Casado de José (Elena's son ❤️)

Today, after almost eight years of regular visits to the residence, we said goodbye to the staff following the recent passing of my mother, Ana María. I want to express my gratitude, on her behalf and my own, to everyone who makes up this wonderful and highly professional team. From the director, Inmaculada, to the medical team, nurses, caregivers, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, laundry staff, maintenance staff, receptionists, activity coordinators, and physiotherapists (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone), who made us feel so at home these past few years. It's a very difficult and thankless task that families can't or don't want to do, and which we delegate, trusting that our loved one will receive the best possible care, not only physically but also emotionally. In this respect, we are extremely grateful for having chosen this residence, and all that remains is for me to say THANK YOU and encourage them to continue their excellent work. A hug to you all, and farewell.

I'm very happy, well, it's my mother who is doing great there, everyone is very kind and the director is one of the best people I've ever met, she has transmitted tranquility and closeness to me from the first minute...a 10

My father was there for two months, and the treatment was appalling. He was hospitalized for severe dehydration due to insufficient fluid intake; they didn't even monitor the water he drank. And the decisions they make always prioritize their own organization, not what's best for the residents. If it suits them to open or close a floor, they simply move the patients to another, even if it means leaving elderly people locked behind coded doors without their families' consent. They can rig tests and evaluations to do this. Ironically, even if you request to be present, the tests are always administered when family members aren't there. If you're going to leave your elderly relatives there, make sure they show you the entire residence, including the area with the coded doors where the elderly live locked up.
