I want to express my personal opinion about the care home where a relative of mine stayed. During their time there, I felt that the treatment and organization weren't always adequate. On several occasions, I noticed that personal items—mainly clothing—were missing. Sometimes they reappeared later, and other times they didn't. I also found clothes in their wardrobe that weren't theirs. Personally, I found this unhygienic and it made me distrustful of how belongings were managed. At one point, there was a choking incident that, in my opinion, was slow to be attended to. I was particularly concerned that there was no medical or support staff immediately available at that moment, and I don't know if these types of facilities should have them at all times. I was also struck by the fact that the food they choked on wasn't among the items they were allowed, which made me wonder how they had access to it and whether the supervision was adequate for someone with cognitive impairment. All of this, taken together, gave me the impression that there are certain oversights that I consider especially serious when dealing with elderly people who require constant and very precise care. From my personal experience, I would not recommend this residence, and if I had to decide again, I would not leave a loved one there or would remove them as soon as possible. This is solely my opinion based on my own experiences, with the intention that it may be helpful to other families.

We are the family of a resident who was at this facility, and we want to document an experience we should never have had to endure. Our mother/grandmother had a very clear medical indication: she could not eat solid food. Even so, at this residence, she was given food completely inappropriate for her condition. For us, this demonstrates an alarming lack of professionalism. Shortly afterward, she suffered a very serious episode while not being supervised as a dependent person needs. An unacceptable amount of time passed without her receiving immediate attention, a time we will never be able to forget. As a family, we deeply feel that her death would not have occurred if she had received the care and supervision she needed and that every elderly person deserves. We cannot describe the pain and helplessness of seeing how a chain of failures and negligence ends in such a loss. What we experienced here was disorganization, a total lack of control, and a complete absence of professional responsibility. We firmly believe that this facility is not prepared to guarantee the safety of the most vulnerable people. We do not recommend this residence under any circumstances. Our trust was betrayed, and our family was devastated by a situation that, in our opinion, was avoidable. We hope no one else ever has to go through something like this.

The support staff at this nursing home are very friendly and provide excellent service. It's clear they are dedicated to caring for the residents. However, I wouldn't recommend this place due to the attitude of the owner, who also works as a doctor. Her demeanor is unfriendly, she shows no interest in the well-being of the residents, and seems more focused on imposing her authority than on ensuring the health of the residents. If at any point you don't follow her instructions or contradict her, she takes it personally and even goes so far as to ask you to leave. Her goal seems to be to have residents who don't need care and who remain immobile, forgetting that grandparents are people. It's a shame, because the support staff does an excellent job, but the management of the nursing home leaves much to be desired. I'd also like to highlight the lack of professionalism from the receptionist, Susana. She has no empathy at all. She started working the same day my grandfather entered this residence and thinks she's going to inherit it. She shouldn't be on guard at the door, but don't let anyone take her cigarettes. They have a smoking room inside the residence, very close to a common area that isn't designated for smoking. The day you arrive, they paint everything very nicely, but then... it's nothing like that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL THAT YOU TAKE YOUR FAMILY THERE.

The caregivers at this residence are very attentive and provide excellent service. Their dedication and the care they show the residents are evident. However, I do not recommend staying here due to the owner's attitude, who is also the resident doctor. She is rude, shows no concern for the residents, and seems more interested in imposing her will than ensuring their well-being. If you don't follow her instructions or contradict her, she takes it as a personal affront and goes so far as to ask you to leave. She wants residents who don't move and don't require attention, forgetting that elderly people are people, not plants. It's a shame, because the caregivers do a great job, but the management leaves much to be desired.

My husband's stay was the worst possible. Dr. Calzada, the director, was responsible for the constant neglect of my terminally ill husband. If he didn't go down to the dining room (he couldn't), they wouldn't even bring him his milkshake. The staff, whether good or bad, were under the command of the captain (Dr. Calzada). Inhumane treatment. Two wonderful people with a vocation. I only met two: Carmen and an assistant. If you read this and want more details, contact me on Facebook. Your family member
