Opiniones

One of the best care homes in Cuenca, thanks to the wonderful treatment the nurses and caregivers provide to the residents, as well as the facilities, the quality of the food, and the beautiful views from the rooms. I am grateful for the kindness and diligence of the director, Ana, and the rest of her team. The rehabilitation department is renowned in Cuenca for its efficiency, and I can attest to this through the effective work they have done, always with patience and care, for two of my family members. I only have words of gratitude for a center where my family members have felt, and continue to feel, completely at home. A big hug to everyone; you do a wonderful job.

The residence is an exceptional place, with a welcoming and family-like atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, always willing to help and take care of every detail so everyone feels at home. The facilities are always clean, well-maintained, and radiate tranquility. You can tell there's a great team behind it, dedicated and caring for what they do. Without a doubt, a place where respect, dedication, and the well-being of each person reign supreme. Highly recommended!

The facilities are very sad and run-down, in need of renovation. From what the residents say, the food is poor and scarce. Those who are just passing through can manage, but for the poor who can't, or who are dependent, it's a shame. They don't have a garden, just the entrance to the residence, where there are some old wooden benches—well, very old, really pitiful. I suppose it wouldn't cost much to replace them, there are only seven of them. I really find it hard to believe that this type of residence is acceptable. As always, they are maintained by the staff, who, according to my relative, are worth it. Well, it's just an opinion, but I hope it helps someone, and even for an administration, the Community, which shouldn't allow it, regardless of whether it's private. There should be subsidized places, and then they have a say.

As a nurse and a relative of a former resident (since my grandmother lasted exactly one month, even though she was recovering from hip surgery), I can say that it is one of the worst nursing homes there is... I have worked in several nursing homes, and what my family and I have experienced after having to admit my grandmother has been, to say the least, deplorable (we haven't done so because it was hard enough losing my grandmother when we least expected it, and her children didn't want to). We went to visit her the day after she was admitted and when we touched the wound from the operation on her leg, it wasn't healed; they had removed the dressing, leaving the wound exposed. I called the nurse, and she told me that it was okay, that she would treat it in the afternoon. No apology, no explanation. She left my grandmother untreated and with an exposed wound, consciously. 3 days later, they put another resident's clothes on her, when we told her it wasn't hers, they rebutted that it was, even though the clothes are labeled. We started to notice that my grandmother was sleepy, it was hard to keep her awake, they said it was normal because of the operation (it had been more than 10 days since the operation), they didn't bother to let her see the doctor, do a urine test, nothing. The next week she sat in a chair with her pants under her armpits pressing her groin with her clothes, her pants down to her knees. Days later, her leg was swollen and the velcro straps were too tight leaving a mark, but the doctor didn't evaluate her either. Why? Oh, another day without treating her and with the wound exposed. She continued to be sleepy and began vomiting frequently, no one evaluated her... Even though we requested it at the nursing home because everything was normal according to them. The day she died, she was in a workshop with the occupational therapist (I think it was) and my uncle came to see her and found her in the chair half dead, so they called an ambulance right away... she arrived at the hospital with very normal vitals that they couldn't correct and she didn't make it to the next morning. As a nurse, I can't understand why, when a family tells you their relative isn't well, that she'd never been sleepy since, in theory, she wasn't taking medication to sleep, nothing is done—a blood test, a urine test that costs nothing. She died of an untreated urinary tract infection that spread to the bloodstream, causing sepsis. Many of us couldn't even say goodbye to her, and this could have been avoided. She was going to recover... You get away with it because they're elderly, and the children just want peace afterward. When we went to collect her things, we found dressings for the pressure ulcer in her wardrobe, which, by the way, appeared there on her heel, used and stained. That's the level of care and hygiene they have. After what happened to her, I've learned many things from an acquaintance who started working there, and how terrible... How inhumane they are with such fragile people.

My grandmother had the pleasure of spending some time at this residence, and I can say with complete certainty that the experience was excellent. The facilities are in perfect condition, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, which contributes to a very pleasant stay. Furthermore, the staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The location is also ideal, with easy access to services and public transportation. Regarding security, I felt completely at ease during my grandmother's stay, as the residence has strict security measures and staff available 24 hours a day. I would definitely recommend this residence to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and well-located place to stay. A perfect experience! Thank you very much.
