Opiniones

The psychologist's terrible treatment of the residents is causing extra work. My father was admitted with senile dementia, and because he was a nuisance (he was constantly pacing and urinating at the foot of the bed as soon as he got up), he was placed on a transfer protocol for aggression. This protocol is completely false, because he's been at Padre Menni for two months and hasn't shown any symptoms of that aggression. There was a four-day period in September 2025 when he left Padre Menni and returned to this residence. According to the psychologist, those were four horrible days. Someone please explain to me that a person with senile dementia is only aggressive in one place. Furthermore, the social worker who handled my father's case told us about the many objections to my father returning there. Of note, the room wasn't cleaned, as it always smelled of urine left on the floor. In short, if I had known before, my father would not have set foot in that residence, since now he is properly cared for at Padre Menni.

The worst part was the psychologist. She did everything she could to get my father-in-law kicked out because he bothered them, and she succeeded. It's nothing like the treatment my mother received at another nursing home with the same condition. If you want your family members to be treated well, don't take them there.

My aunt Emilia had been there for 14 years, and the care she received was incredible, but since her condition worsened last year, the work you've done has been absolutely outstanding. People tend to focus on the negative and overlook the positive, but I believe you deserve special recognition. The return from hospital admissions was difficult; she was already very weak, and thanks to YOUR CARE, she recovered. With every relapse, you were there to call the doctor, to call me, and to keep me informed of everything that was happening. Every Friday, Candela would call to tell me how she was doing during the week. But it was this last month when everything became complicated, and you were my hands, and my heart, right there with her. Thank you truly falls short of expressing my gratitude for all the help you've given me, Dioni and the rest of the staff… THANK YOU… Sara, thank you for your always gentle words explaining every medical change… you are a true professional… thank you to Tomas and Victor for helping me understand my situation and making things so much easier for me… AND CANDELA, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU… Your professionalism is beyond measure… your kindness and empathy towards me have made everything so much easier… thank you for holding her hand when I couldn't manage everything. In short, thank you all for your exceptional work all these years… I wish we could all end our days with the same love and care she received THANKS TO YOU! Sincerely, Luis A. Montoya Garcia, Gema Montoya García, and with tremendous affection, AROA MONTOYA.

With these words, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the director of the Fuente Ventura residence (Luey – Val de San Vicente), to the coordinator María, and to all the staff of the Fuente Ventura senior residence for their professionalism and, above all, for their exceptional humanity, patience, kindness, sensitivity, affection, and excellent care for our recently deceased father, Eusebio Calvo Gutiérrez, and for all the residents. It is not easy to care for someone whose illness prevents them from expressing emotions. Someone whose illness often prevents them from thanking you for everything you are doing for them. Someone who can no longer respond, and whose response is sometimes agitation, aggression, or restlessness, although at other times they may smile. However, despite all of this, your dedicated professionalism always allowed you to understand all of this with our father, Eusebio, always offering him a kiss, a smile, a kind word, and, of course, impeccable and truly praiseworthy care. Therefore, on behalf of the entire family and ourselves, I thank the entire team at the residence (directors, coordinator, psychologist, assistants, physiotherapist, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, etc.) for everything you have done for our father during the 13 years he has lived at "Fuente Ventura," treating him and making him feel like one of the family. I congratulate you on your dedication, which goes beyond professionalism, and I encourage you to continue with all the good you do. Even if they can't always tell you, the residents and their families will be eternally grateful. P.S. To our coordinator, María, for always being there, "THANK YOU." I will miss that daily call of "Good morning, Cristina, good morning, María." Signed: Cristina Alonso and Eusebio Calvo

The residents are well looked after and the surroundings are very relaxing. Luey is a well-located village with beautiful views and plenty of sunshine.
