They don't deserve even one star. The welcome was great, the start wonderful, but the farewell was awful. After a year, we're still waiting for our relative's deposit back; they lost our clothes and suitcase. Our belongings were left poorly stored in a box. Despite several calls, we still haven't received the deposit back.

My mother has been in this residence for three years, and I can only say that the treatment she received was loving and attentive. The nursing staff, physiotherapist, management, caregivers, kitchen staff... they all care about their residents and are always looking out for them. The facilities are modern and very bright. For me, the only downside is that if you live outside of Cáceres and don't drive, visiting your relative means relying on buses and taxis. Otherwise, everything was great in our home!

I had a relative there who thankfully moved to another care home, and I help a friend when she needs to take her mother to the doctor. The maintenance is a disaster: the entrance gate hasn't worked for almost a year, and the call buttons in the rooms haven't worked for months either. The staffing situation is getting worse and worse: they no longer have a doctor, and the occupational therapists are staying for shorter and shorter periods (therapy classes haven't been held for a while). As for the care of the residents, whether due to staff shortages, lack of motivation, or inadequate supervision, it's steadily declining.

I'm not giving it any stars because it doesn't deserve any. Although I do thank the pair of assistants who have loved my mother until the end, the only professionals there are in that house. They or she, knows who it is. That house has been without a doctor for two years, no matter what the director says, the relatives of the sick residents have to take them to their corresponding health center and if we talk about nursing, they have lost and are losing super competent people because of the working conditions they have to endure. When you walk through the door you know what you're getting, few staff, since you arrive in the living room and it smells like pee, and that's because the grandparents don't change for hours, those who can go on their own are spared, my mother was spared until she was in a wheelchair after having 3 falls in less than two months. My mother spent 4 to 5 months vomiting all her food and a very smart assistant said it was to get attention. As a family member, I had to tell them to please change her diet and feed her by mouth. We should try to nourish her with whatever she ate. I don't know how many did. I only know that when my mother died of sepsis from a urinary tract infection, I had to ask over the phone on more than one occasion—I live 400 km from Cáceres—for urine strips because there's no monitoring of any kind there. As has been shown, she weighed about 35 kg, if not less. The geriatrician at the hospital, before telling us that sedation was best, couldn't believe my mother lived in a nursing home and arrived in that condition. You leave your mother there, paying 2,200 euros, thinking she'd be well cared for, and she dies weighing less than 35 kg and with sepsis from a urinary tract infection. Neglect at its highest level. And now, Mr. Director, answer me by saying that you were free to have taken my mother out of there, when what you deserve is another complaint for malpractice. I hope that time will pay you back for all the evil you do there with your dear manager. I also hope that the rest of the grandparents and their relatives realize it in time and get them out of there, out of that slaughterhouse.

They take advantage of our grief over the loss of our loved ones to avoid returning the deposit. After eight months of stringing us along with lies, we took legal action and they paid. I read your reviews and see that this is their modus operandi. I encourage everyone to file a complaint; it's the only way to stop them from keeping what isn't theirs.
