Opiniones

I agree with several of the reviews I've seen: if you can, avoid bringing your family member to this residence and look for other options. The lack of staff caring for the residents is obvious, the food is best left unseen, and the treatment when your family member isn't there is inadequate (livestock on a farm is treated better than here). My father was there for six months, and the last three were a nightmare for him. The worst part was the appearance of an eight-centimeter diameter, now necrotic, pressure ulcer, and I received no notification whatsoever about the wound appearing or that it was being treated. Three days after the nurse from the primary care center (CAP) who was going to treat him told me that she had been informed "a little late" about the ulcer, the residence called me to transfer my father to the hospital because he had a fever of 39°C (102°F). The result was a severe infection that has left him physically and cognitively impaired. When asked for explanations, they always claim that protocols have been followed; these are all excuses to justify the obvious negligence due to carelessness.

I wrote a review 3 months ago using my freedom to give my opinion on the organization of the residences. In response, I received a call from the director of this residence reprimanding me for using this medium to give my opinion (give an opinion, not a complaint). She hung up on me twice because I told her that she was violating my rights as a family member of a user (on top of that, she was rude). With this action she has only made me doubt her professionalism even more. Well, there are the reviews that, from what I see, she likes. Yes, my family member's clothes, money, and other objects keep disappearing. When we have complained to the director, she has not paid any attention to us. I support all the negative reviews written by family members.

If you want your loved one to live for a short time, this is the right nursing home. The director is pathetic, lying when there's aggression between residents, and on top of that, the doctor doesn't care about the patients at all. There are days when there's no nurse, so he can't insert an IV in a patient who needs it. In the end, we had to call the EMS, and the doctor said over the phone that he DID NOT approve the transfer, even though he hadn't had a drink for over 24 hours and that it was necessary to hydrate him and insert an IV. Thank God, he ended up in Bellvitge, where they acted quickly and effectively and saved his life. They also withhold information from family members because they don't want to damage their reputation. A very nice place, but full of incompetent people (from the assistants to the doctor and director). Save yourselves that money and look at other nursing homes where they take it much more seriously. In the end, my father died due to negligence, and they won't give us the reports. We've started filing legal claims to have it closed!

The worst place you could put your family members. Unfortunately, my father was there, and everything was shameful, from the hygiene to the treatment. Every week we had to bring him clothes because, according to them, he didn't have any, and when we visited, he was always wearing clothes that weren't his, and the worst part was, he was wearing women's clothes! My father brought three suitcases of clothes, and every week I had to bring him more because his own clothes disappeared... When we took him for a walk or a snack, he devoured everything we brought him. We had to cut his nails in the street because they were so long, it was pitiful. On Saturdays, he would bring him to my house for lunch, and when I changed his diaper, it was paid for. I showed the photos to the nurses, and they didn't care at all. What for?! The day they transferred him to the hospital, the doctor called me and told me, verbatim, that he was malnourished and dehydrated. But of course, when we told this to the doctor at the time, Ginés, he became furious. But if he was truly aware of the situation—and I think he was—he knew that doctor was telling the truth. It's a shame they never acknowledged what they were doing there, and even worse, that they didn't fix it. Nothing could be done for my father, but it was possible for the people who were, are, and will continue to be there... Today, I can tell all the families there—parents, grandparents—to keep a close eye on their loved ones and not let even the slightest thing go unnoticed. And to those who say everything is perfect, I'll say that if it truly is for them, I'm glad, but if their perception of perfection stems from a lack of interest in or unwillingness to see reality, they need to get their heads examined. Our elders don't deserve to end their days like this... And I would be very grateful to the nursing home if they didn't have the nerve to even reply to me. I've waited three years to write this review, but my pain is as raw as the first day when some of you called my sister. You didn't have the nerve to call me because you knew perfectly well what my answer would be...
