Admitting a family member is a difficult decision, but from day one this residence instilled a great sense of peace in us. It feels like a big family; the treatment of our loved one was always humane, caring, and respectful. The facilities are very beautiful compared to other options we considered, with lovely views and spacious terraces on every floor that make it feel like home. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team once again for their warmth and dedication. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would return if needed.

My mother has lived in this care home for almost the last five years of her life. Unfortunately, about two years ago, there was a change in management for the worse. The previous management had its faults and made mistakes, but nothing compared to the decline this care home is experiencing now due to the change. The food is terrible. Besides being of poor quality, the menus they advertise are rarely offered, they're hardly balanced, and on top of that, most of the time they're poorly cooked and served cold. The new management and their three-person team are quite inappropriate, both for their arrogant and unempathetic attitude and their very limited professionalism. They refuse to admit any mistakes, and their responses are mostly lies. According to them, the blame for what happens there lies either with the caregivers or the families. They never admit that the fault is primarily their own mismanagement, which makes it difficult to resolve anything. There is a constant lack of staff, practically every day. Caregivers are constantly running up and down the stairs attending to residents as best they can. This means your assigned caregiver is almost never there, and if they are, they always have to go to other floors. This new management doesn't value the role of the caregiver at all; in fact, many good caregivers have left, tired of the treatment and the responses they receive. The doctor who is there to this day—I'll just give you one example: at the end of my mother's life (thankfully, she was cared for by the Pades service)—was unable to even once check on her in her room...great empathy and professionalism. The physiotherapy team works very well. Activities that don't match what they advertise and what they actually are, and a constant infantilization of the residents. I appreciate the treatment my mother received from most of the caregivers; almost all of them are hardworking and loving people (I won't name names for fear of forgetting someone). The nursing team—all three on the day shift and the one on the night shift—are good professionals, but often overwhelmed by the workload. In short, most of the people who work there are good people and good professionals. It's a shame that they are so poorly managed and have a workload that exceeds what can be handled with good care. I'm not the only one who feels this way. Many family members don't dare to leave reviews out of fear... For my part, unfortunately, I no longer have anything to fear or any connection to the place, so I can speak freely, although I did so even when I was there. Remember that simply changing the furniture doesn't necessarily improve things, and that empathy and concern aren't only shown during the end-of-life process. Our elders must be treated with love and dignity from the first day they move in until the last. And to the families of residents in this or any other care home, fight—and this is coming from someone who has always been attentive to my mother, always willing to help with anything suggested to improve her life. But in this case, these last few months have been completely exhausting.

I want to express my eternal gratitude to the entire team at the care home for the love, professionalism, and care they showed my grandmother during her stay. From the nursing staff and caregivers to the technicians and management, we always received a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and any issues we had were resolved in the best way possible. You were like a second home to her, and we will never stop being grateful. Thank you so much for everything!

What you see from the outside is a fiasco. I have a friend at this Sanitas Bonaire residence who moved in a few months ago, and it goes without saying that there's a clear staff shortage. The few people you see are stressed, rushing around without being able to finish much. Management should reconsider hiring more staff, and if they don't, Sanitas should intervene in this center. Such a prestigious insurance company shouldn't have a facility that brings it into disrepute.

I want to highlight the exorbitant and disproportionate cost of the "extra" hairdressing services, where there is an abuse and profiteering that we find utterly outrageous. Trimming the ends and coloring the hair of an 80-year-old woman costs a whopping €75.30, nothing like what other residences charge. They should consider that this is a priority service and not profit from it.
