I used to come over to my friend's apartment in 94 Calle Londres. Regretfully, I discovered that the same building houses a medical facility. I assumed that this structure was only for residential use. There are no emergency exits in this building. Additionally, it only has one outdated elevator that isn't wheelchair or stretcher accessible. In the event of a fire or medical evacuation, this poses a serious risk.

The residents of 94 Londres Street wish to publicly express our deep concern and outrage regarding the situation at the San Daniel Residence. We can no longer remain silent in the face of the repeated events we witness and endure. These are the deficiencies we denounce as a community: 🚨 Critical safety risk: The building is not a healthcare facility and lacks emergency exits. The only elevator is old and small; it cannot accommodate stretchers or wheelchairs, which clogs the stairwell and poses an extreme danger in the event of a fire or medical evacuation. 📉 Staff shortages and neglect: We have witnessed situations of extreme hardship where a single person appears to be responsible for more than 30 elderly residents. We routinely hear calls for help and complaints from inside the residence that are not addressed with the minimum required diligence. 📉 Staff shortages and neglect: 🏗️ Inadequate infrastructure: The lack of a freight elevator forces the use of common areas for residence operations, causing tension and constantly blocking access to the 11 residential floors. ⚠️ Lack of qualifications: The staff, often overwhelmed, continually shifts operational problems onto the residents, demonstrating a lack of training to manage a center of this type. Out of respect for the dignity of the elderly and for our own safety as neighbors, we demand immediate solutions. It is unacceptable that an activity of this kind is carried out under these precarious and risky conditions. We know that management will likely deny these facts, but as a community, we are publicly documenting a reality we see every day and that can no longer be hidden.

Estamos muy satisfechos de como cuidan a mi madre, parece otra persona y se encuentra muy a gusto y feliz. Hacía tiempo que no la veía tan contenta y entiendo que es por la seguridad y la paz que le ofrece su nuevo entorno. Muchas gracias por todo lo que hacéis por nuestros seres queridos, hasta la fecha solo puedo decir cosas buenas de Sant Daniel y todos los que forman parte del centro.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team at Residencia Sant Daniel for the excellent attention and care they have given my father during his stay. From the first day, we have felt welcomed and accompanied by a team that combines professionalism, patience and great human quality. The affectionate treatment and the love with which they have cared for my father has given us a lot of peace of mind and confidence. Thank you for your constant dedication, for your kindness in everyday life, and for making my father feel at home. I saw many residences, towers in Maresme, with parking lots, gardens, swimming pools, etc. Large buildings, but basically, all of them are crap, which mainly only care about the image. To speak to the director or METXE, I had to make an appointment!. The Sant Daniel Residence was indicated to me by the ACE center, and by the director of Social Services, who recommended it to me from a large list. When I arrived, the director herself opened the door for me!. After an interview, seeing the facilities and the residents, I saw that it was the best. When I arrived, two days before, my beloved wife had broken her arm, and they received her with great affection. It was thanks to Dr. Rosana that they operated on her at the Sagrat Cor, solving everything. (They didn't want to operate on her at the Clinic!). The Physio, perfect, everything with great attention. The humanity, the affection, and the personalized attention of the Residence, Unique!. This is not a Residence, it is a Big Family. They celebrate birthdays, Christmas parties, Tree gifts, Sant Jordi, etc. The residents really feel like family. I have to state that Dr. Rosana Compte is a professional with great knowledge and experience, she constantly adjusts the medication to suit, achieves an improvement in the side effects of the disease, and every two days she kept me personally informed. La Paz's experience and kindness in dealing with the residents. Sensational. They are traveling abroad for a week, on business, with her I was kept informed of everything, and I put my voice on the phone for her. The food, made in the residence itself, is home-cooked and excellent. No catering. They have entertainment and activities, such as music and clowns for the residents. La Paz gives violin concerts. We also had a trip to the Lyceum in a wheelchair, a nurse accompanied us to help us. For those who wish, they have religious ceremonies. Unfortunately, my wife left us a week ago after almost three years at the Residence. I write this with pain, but I think it is fair to say it. The children will not see her again, but the love and support they had more than compensated. The personalized care, the accompaniment, the comfort, the attention and the monitoring of the last moments were unbeatable. The motto of a Sweet Death without suffering, as it was, I will always be grateful. It is clear that they have an authentic personal VOCATION within the Heart. All my gratitude and admiration, to all the members and staff of the Residence, for the treatment, humanity, understanding and professionalism, and I sincerely believe that it is the best team in existence.
