La Residència Geriàtrica Can Font presenta una situación contradictoria con experiencias muy dispares: mientras algunos familiares elogian la dedicación de ciertos cuidadores y la limpieza de las instalaciones, la mayoría de las reseñas denuncian comportamientos inaceptables de algunos miembros del personal, incluyendo abuso verbal, físico y emocional hacia residentes mayores, así como una falta de transparencia y actividades limitadas. NEVER SEND YOUR PARENTS/GRANDPARENTS My relative has reported that a caregiver pushed her, forced herself on her, spoke to her rudely, and ignored her. It's important to emphasize that SHE IS NOT MENTALLY ILL; she is fully conscious. The person in charge of the residence refuses to show the videos TO MY FAMILY and has blocked my relative's legal guardian to prevent them from sending the video. There are some caregivers who have a big heart and do a wonderful job. But what's unacceptable is that others are interfering in other people's lives and making life miserable for an elderly person simply because they don't like them (especially the one who abused her power against an 87-YEAR-OLD). The building is a bit bland, and since most of the elderly residents are practically nonexistent, they don't even bother to do any activities (at most, they might paint or play bingo). They don't even bother to fix the TV or replace it. Luckily, they're doing renovations to move the residence to another location (they've been saying for two years that they're leaving next month), but I wish the caregiver I'm talking about would stay. She's bitter working here because she won't have anywhere else to go.

I have my grandmother there, and I'm looking forward to her move. There are some really good caregivers there, but there's one who likes to yell, belittle, and attack the grandparents she doesn't like. When they open the new facility, please take all the caregivers, but it's better not to take her.

The truth is, this is a profession like many others, where professionals need to have a calling, and sometimes that's lacking. I had a relative who did it a while ago, and he left much to be desired.

My grandmother has been there for about two years, and we love it. The girls take great care of her and pamper her, and that's what we appreciate most. It's a beautiful and very clean place. Thank you for taking such good care of her!
