Our mother entered the Ballesol Barberà residence on October 11, 2024. Initially, as her daughters, we were filled with fear that she wouldn't be able to adapt or that she wouldn't receive the care she needed; however, reality far exceeded our expectations. Our mother was delighted, content, and above all, very happy during her stay. As with any shared living arrangement, there were moments that required communication with the staff, but we always found a quick solution and a positive response from the center. Therefore, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff at Ballesol Barberà for the compassionate care and affection she received until her last day, a month ago. We are deeply grateful for the flexibility they showed us in allowing us to be with her and by her side in her final moments. Although there are always aspects that can be improved in the care of our elders, we are left with what matters most: seeing our mother so comfortable and well cared for. Thank you to the entire Ballesol team for making it possible.

This experience was more than just negative; it was terrible. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the garden and facilities. There were too many residents and not enough staff. Cleanliness and hygiene were generally lacking. The food was best left unmentioned; it was awful. They put a resident with no cognitive impairment in the same room as a roommate with senile dementia, among other significant permanent health conditions. My mother was there for 18 days, contracted a bacterial infection, was rushed to the emergency room, and was hospitalized and isolated for two weeks. It was a nightmare, both during and after her stay. The quality of service is not worth the price.

My mother was there for a year, and we moved her to another residence; we should have done it sooner. It's a terrible place. The garden is very nice and spacious, but what's the point? It's a shame that places like this exist. The latest, which we only realized a year later, is that they made my sister sign a waiver of her right to a public placement, with the form left blank, and now we're not on the waiting list for any public placement at any residence. It's a bad residence, with poor care, neglected elderly residents, no activities or stimulation, a horrible smell in the bathrooms, and appalling management. Don't be fooled by the views from that large outdoor area. Don't be deceived; at first, it seems like your loved one will be living in a tiny apartment. Look for another residence; it can't be worse than this one. All those good reviews... Time will tell. In the end, you'll agree with me.

Nunca pensé que formar parte de un equipo pudiera darte una lección de vida tan importante, he tenido la suerte de ver profesionales dar tanto amor incluso en momentos difíciles, personas incansables dando lo mejor de sí mismo. Familiares tan implicados que ya forman parte del equipo.
