It's an excellent care home. For personal and professional reasons, I've visited a couple of care homes in Castelldefels, and I can confidently say that Portamar is far superior. It offers services and benefits that other care homes don't. Its facilities are modern and well-maintained, always clean and well-kept. The quality of its caregivers is very high, and the staff who work with the residents are highly professional. It's the best I know.

They don't accept people with Alzheimer's who have a level 3 dependency. You explain that they have that level and the illness, they let you put your name on the waiting list, they call you when there's a vacancy, and in our case, we accepted the private placement. Five minutes later, they called us to say they couldn't accept him, that they weren't equipped to care for him there, with no further explanation other than a simple "sorry." We decided to visit Portamar after seeing the opinions on Google and making a telephone visit explaining our family situation. Ms. Liz treated us very well and showed us the facilities and operation. We are delighted with the Portamar Residential Complex. My 90-year-old mother entered the complex a month and a half ago, and it has been an excellent decision. Both the professional and caring team (who are all outstanding) and the facilities are perfect and fully adapted to their needs. I must thank everyone who has revitalized my mother. She is happy and feels right at home, as she arrived in very poor condition, and now we see her thriving.
