A beautiful retirement residence on a peninsula with breathtaking panoramic sea views. The well-maintained grounds feature a palm garden, two pools, a library, and an old watchtower from which you can enjoy one of the island's most beautiful sunsets every evening. But what's truly special isn't just the facilities, but the friendly, calm, and helpful interactions between residents, visitors, and staff, creating such a lovely, peaceful, and relaxed atmosphere that you quickly feel like part of the "family." Our mother lives there completely carefree and happy. Her only regret is that she didn't move in sooner, and we also love to visit her. This is how one should grow old!

My mother (85) lives in the residence. Three weeks ago, she fell. After a complicated fracture, she is in excellent hands at Es Castellot. Currently in the nursing care unit, she is receiving on-site rehabilitation and is looking forward to returning to her apartment soon. Even as a member of the Swiss healthcare system, I am aware that she would not have received this level of expert, person-centered care, with such an impressively and reassuringly high staff-to-resident ratio, anywhere else in Switzerland (and certainly not in Germany). The residence team gives me, as her family member, the freedom to continue with my work without worry. They are taking excellent care of her, tending to the countless flowers in her apartment, and running errands – in short, a loving, comprehensive service. I would especially like to commend the dedication, care, and expertise of the head of nursing, Andreas. Thank you to the management, Ms. Moll, and everyone who ensures that the residents enjoy a safe life in a beautiful setting and can rely on competent care in case of emergency. It's very, very beautiful here. Until a year ago, I was a regular visitor; my beagle was even allowed to come along. As soon as we can, we'll be back, this time for a really long stay. Katia and Dana send their regards to Mrs. Moll.
