Opiniones

The biggest mistake we made was admitting my relative to this "nursing home." A terrifying experience. Without exaggeration, two weeks were enough to land her in the hospital and never leave. Let me explain. My relative arrived with a reasonable level of independence; she could walk with support and ate and drank without help. The next day, they had her in a wheelchair and told us they were taking her upstairs to the dining room (where the most vulnerable residents were) because she had tripped… completely disregarding the supposed protocols they had tried to sell us. A week later, she was bedridden, under the pretext that she didn't want to get up, clearly demonstrating the kind of medical and mental health professionals on their team. I'll be even more specific: On numerous occasions (over a period of two weeks), we had to speak up because they weren't providing adequate hygiene. They weren't brushing her teeth, leaving her mouth full of tartar, and we were the ones who had to do it. In my presence, after the third warning, the assistant came to "clean her teeth," but all she did was remove her dentures (which she didn't know how to remove or whether it was one or two), leaving the rest of her mouth dirty. I have photos and evidence from several days to prove it. With management: terrible treatment. They justify everything and make senseless arguments, passing the buck, contradicting themselves in conversation, and refusing to take responsibility. Medical team: the nurse—I don't even know how to describe her work… terrible doesn't even begin to cover it. She was able to see her eye stuck shut with pus and not treat it because, according to her, she hadn't been prescribed anything. We told her that a little saline solution doesn't need to be prescribed by a doctor. (I have photos from several days). The day before her admission to the Mérida Hospital, she informed us that she had done a urine test and it was perfect. She said she was weak from the IV fluids because my relative was refusing to eat. The next day they called us to say they were sending her to the emergency room. The first thing they told us at the Mérida emergency room was that she had a severe urinary tract infection, a fungal infection in her mouth, plus her underlying health conditions. Basically, they abandon people to their fate. I have photos and videos of the deplorable conditions… the rooms smelled of urine and feces, it was unbearable. I could go on and on, recounting episodes I've experienced, but I think this gets the point across. It was too late for us, but I think it's important to share this with anyone else considering admitting a family member here, urging them to think twice.

A great nursing home with extensive experience in the sector, backed by more than 20 years of experience. When you're on the move, you can make mistakes and stumble, but that doesn't mean you'll waver in your effort and dedication. The staff at this facility is completely committed to giving their best to ensure the residents' well-being is at their best. Congratulations!

The treatment of the elderly by some of the nursing staff is deplorable. I hope management takes action and hires real professionals. Elderly people are not furniture; they are human beings who need more dignified treatment than they receive at that nursing home, if it can even be called that. A REAL SHAME!!

Terrible, they do not treat these people as they deserve, most of the people who work there are people WITHOUT VOCATION, AND THIS WORK IS VOCATIVE, THEY DO NOT DO THEIR WORK IN CONDITIONS DUE TO LACK OF STAFF, THEY DO NOT HYDRATE THE USERS AS THEY DESERVE, THIS LEADS TO PRESSURE ULCERS, NEGLECT, PASSIMISM AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER THINGS, WHOEVER DOES NOT LIKE THIS JOB SHOULD GO TO THE COUNTRYSIDE, THEY DESERVE RESPECT, AFFECTION, INTENSIVE CARE, INDIVIDUALIZED CARE, ETC ETC ETC... THE WORST OF THE WORST, EXCEPT FOR 4 OR 5 WHO ARE LOVING PEOPLE AND GIVE THEIR EVERYTHING ELSE..... TERRIBLE, A SHAME... They need a holy inspection now!

It's a residence with a friendly, everyday atmosphere that speaks volumes. A wonderful, professional team. Plus, it's beautiful, spacious, and welcoming.
