Opiniones

My grandmother Carmen has been living at the residence for almost a year and a half. I am grateful to all the staff for their warmth and friendliness; the care is excellent, and they have always shown great concern and affection for my grandmother. It's worth mentioning that the food is homemade, not catered, which we greatly appreciate. In conclusion, I would recommend this residence to anyone looking for loving and professional care for their loved ones. Thank you so much for everything!

The truth is, the residence is beautiful even before you arrive—the journey, the entrance, and from inside, the views! With the sea in the background. Then there's the interior, that combination of the original building and the enormous new addition. I was impressed by the rooftop of the extended building where they hold parties; the view of Gijón is breathtaking. The service, despite being a residence equipped for many residents, is completely personal. And, as far as I know about residences, you can't add anything more to the services they provide. But if I had to single out one thing above all else, and it's not easy, it would be the food: it particularly caught my attention because it's like that of a good restaurant specializing in home-style cooking. The kitchen (and its chef) is superb. I had a relative there, unfortunately not for very long, but if there's one thing I know, it's that if it's still there, when it's my turn, I'll choose it without hesitation. Honestly, we were very, very happy with everything we saw.

Buenas tardes. Saludos.

They have very few staff members. I went to visit and there were three women in the elevator: one in a wheelchair, another with a walker, and another who was blind. All three were trying to get someone to help them out of the elevator, the door opening and closing, and them just standing there asking to be let out. Meanwhile, other people were walking around, and another woman was asking to use the restroom. There was no one around to help. A girl ran past and said she couldn't help them. That experience really discouraged me from taking any elderly person in there; it seemed chaotic. The terrace outside was very neglected. I asked a woman sitting there if she was happy, and she said no. Anyway... everyone should do what they think is best.

My father, Angel, was a resident at Atalaya for the past year. Although he is no longer with us, I would like to highlight the spaciousness of the facility, the beautiful grounds we used so much with him, and the freedom to visit at any time. But above all, I would like to acknowledge the work of the center's support staff, especially those on the afternoon shift. I want to give special recognition to Conchi, Isabel, Belinda, Agustina, Pedro, Kiko, and Ana (please forgive me if I've missed anyone), who strive every day, even on the most challenging days. Thank you for your kindness and the hard work you do, which deserves to be acknowledged. Thank you to the nursing staff on the morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts, and thank you to Angel, the director. There's always room for improvement; nothing is perfect. But the overall experience and the memories we have of our time there are very positive. We will not forget you. Thank you.
