DomusVi La Sirena recibe principalmente evaluaciones muy positivas destacando la calidad del personal, la atención cuidadosa de la dirección, las actividades ofrecidas y la excelente ubicación en el centro de Gijón. Sin embargo, existe una reseña muy crítica que denuncia problemas graves de negligencia en la atención, medicación sin consentimiento y falta de comunicación con las familias desde la pandemia, lo que contrasta significativamente con el resto de opiniones elogiosas sobre el servicio.

My mother has been living in this residence for two and a half years and is very happy. The management and staff are kind and caring, the food is excellent, they offer many activities, she has many friends, and it's located in the center of Gijón. Special mention goes to María Prieto, the social worker, who is always attentive to everyone and radiates joy. Thank you to the entire team at La Sirena!

I couldn't be happier with our choice of this residence for my family member. The service is excellent, friendly, and welcoming. The director is wonderful and incredibly attentive to all of us. In addition, the location is excellent, the accessibility is superb, and the center is very clean and hygienic. Without a doubt, it's fantastic and I highly recommend it.

The way they've treated her since the pandemic is a disgrace. We've been trying to speak with the director for two years, and she refuses to return our calls or contact the family, always making excuses and giving the runaround. She's been given medication without the family's consent or information to keep her drowsy (drugged), her personal hygiene has been neglected, her nails have been trimmed, and she has wounds all over her body... It's a real disgrace considering the huge amount of money they charge. They've laid off staff, and the poor workers are overwhelmed! Tomorrow, they're taking my grandmother to another residence because the only luxury this one has is its location and the money they charge their residents.

I was impressed by the staff at this care home, both the caregivers and the nurses, who were always attentive to the needs of both the patients and their families. The director was incredibly kind and helpful. And the location couldn't be better.

We finally found a nursing home for my mother-in-law that satisfies us. The director, Marisol, is always attentive. Maite, the doctor, is a true professional. The rest of the staff is so caring toward the residents, making them feel at home. We're so lucky to have found this nursing home.
