Opiniones

I just called because the medication isn't agreeing with me and is increasing my suicidal thoughts. The receptionist who always answers the phone didn't stop yelling at me throughout the entire conversation and treated me very rudely. I told her I was going to file a complaint, and she just got even more arrogant. Politeness is sorely lacking at this center, and tact even more so, considering the kind of patients we are. They leave much to be desired, and the so-called "professionals" are no better. I've been their guinea pig since I was 17, and I couldn't have received worse treatment. It's appalling that in 2026 they still treat us with such disdain, that they can't get diagnoses right, prescribing medications haphazardly and endangering people's lives, because they care VERY LITTLE.

Everything is great, it's improved tremendously. The level of the staff—nurses, assistants, and doctors—is very high. My mother has been delighted there; it's a leading center in Asturias.

Review extracted from turismolangreo.com "At the initiative of the Duro Felguera Metallurgical Society, it was founded in 1910 by Luis Adaro y Magro as a hospital for workplace accidents, although it did not open until 1915. It is a large building surrounded by a spacious garden area. The building has a comb-shaped floor plan and consists of five pavilions. The walls are made of plastered and painted brick on the rear facade and brick cladding on the front. Originally called the "Hospital for the Wounded," it was not until 15 years later that it was named after its founder, a name it still retains today and by which it is known as the "Adaro Sanatorium." It went from being a leading center for occupational medicine, where thousands of miners passed through, to becoming a century-old, publicly funded institution where residents of the region (and beyond) of all ages can find help: from the recently established Early Intervention Unit, which helps children with problems, to the..." "Geriatric spaces that many residents have been enjoying for years." A beautiful historic building, steeped in history and stories.

A large space dedicated to improving the health and lives of many people, staffed by incredibly compassionate and highly skilled professionals. The facilities are equipped with the necessary resources to enhance the quality of life for its residents.

The Adaro Sanatorium (1910-14), on Jove y Canella Street, s/n, is a former mining hospital in Sama de Llangréu, owned by the Duro Felguera mining and metallurgical company (1857), promoted by the managing engineer Luis Adaro Magro (1849-1915), who bears his name. It began operating in February 1915. The Dominican sisters - linked to the school founded in Sama (1897) - Dolores Ayats (prioress), Rosario Torrens, Josefa Agulló and Pilar Farré began providing healthcare services. In 1952, it was established as a Health Association of Companies and became a national reference center for the treatment of injured miners and workers. Successive renovations have substantially altered its exterior and interior appearance, with the chapel being almost the only element that retains its original features. In 1996, the Adaro Foundation was established and operated as a subsidiary of the Nalón Valley Hospital (Riañu, Llangréu). It also has a medium- and long-stay nursing home, a psychiatric unit, and remains a benchmark in workplace accident care.
