I share Andrea's opinion; for us, my father's stay at this residence was AWFUL. My father was supposed to be there temporarily, but he didn't even last 15 days. He had to be admitted to the emergency room with severe dehydration, malnutrition, and bedsores all over his body. And no, my father wasn't admitted like that, not at all. He was extremely dependent, with the highest level of dependency, and they showed him absolutely no consideration.

It was a difficult decision for us to make, but it turned out to be the right one. Thanks to the facilities, the wonderful home-cooked food, the extremely clean facilities and the residents, and best of all, the STAFF. From Lucía in administration to all the assistants, the therapist, the physiotherapist, the nurses, the doctor, and the night caretakers, they were all amazing. I would like to give each and every one of them a special mention. Thank you for everything, for a job well done, for your kindness and dedication, and for taking such good care of the people we love so much. You make a wonderful team. THANK YOU.

Unfortunately, my loved one was rejected on the grounds that their behavior was “aggressive.” This behavior was not assessed by any of the center's professionals and is entirely typical of elderly individuals living with cognitive impairment. I find it especially disappointing that, instead of offering a supportive and specialized environment, the residence was unwilling to adapt to the needs of a person with this condition. The behaviors I mentioned, such as confusion and agitation, are common in dementia, and I believe that a senior living facility should be prepared to provide appropriate care in these cases. Instead of finding a supportive environment, I have encountered this experience, which only demonstrates the incompetence of this private institution dedicated to “care.” My family and I are deeply disappointed by the lack of empathy and understanding they showed, and we hope that, in the future, the residence will reconsider its admissions policies, gaining a better understanding of the realities of residents with cognitive conditions.
