Opiniones

If you truly love your loved one, don't even think about taking them to this nursing home. My mother was there for a few days in July, and we took her out as soon as we realized how the director, Miguel, treated her. At first, he was very kind, and everything seemed fine. We liked the nursing home because it was small and felt like a home, but as time went by, my mother became more upset and just wanted to get out. She has the beginnings of dementia, and when she gets upset, she's completely different. She insults everyone in front of her and won't listen to reason. But these are just moments, and in a nursing home for seniors with these conditions, there are professionals who should know how to handle these cases. They should certainly never argue with her as if it were something personal in bad faith, because that only upsets them more. That's how the disease works, any professional knows it. The doctors have told us a thousand times how to act, but it seems like it was the other way around, and it's clear they were making things worse. When I arrived, I had already explained everything my mother had, and they told us it was no problem, that they had similar and worse cases. And it turned out that one day a worker told us, very upset, that my mother had a problem with her. I had to explain to her that it wasn't personal, that she shouldn't be taken into account. I went in the morning and afternoon to keep my mother company for a while, and I was already seeing things I didn't like about some of the workers, although I thought it was just a specific case of malpractice. One day my mother had a scrape on her elbow in the morning, and no one knew what it was. It's inexplicable when my mother can't move alone because she's in a wheelchair and has no strength, and they have to help her get up. It couldn't be in bed, so everything points to the fact that they rubbed her against a door frame when they wheeled her into the room. That same day, I asked about two of my mother's dresses that were missing from her closet after several days of seeing her always wearing the same one. One appeared in the laundry without a tag, but the other didn't. I left without thinking anything bad; the tag would fall off or it would be somewhere and then it would just appear. And when I returned in the afternoon, I found my mother wearing both dresses in the middle of a heat wave, one on top of the other. I asked why, and no one knew anything either. Does anyone have any idea why? I do. It's clear they didn't like me asking about the wound on my mother's arm, which pointed to her lack of care, and which would have exposed her lack of control over clothes (they'd already put my mother in pajamas that weren't hers before). So the poor woman was given both dresses to piss people off. That's the kind of people who work there. And there were good workers. I'm not saying they're all bad. In fact, I started to distrust them when a girl who treated her very well told me when I put her to bed, "With me, your mother doesn't scream so much." Some workers moved them around like furniture, without any care. The food isn't bad; it's catering, but the cleaning is very limited, and they spend more time than necessary without changing the older children's diapers; they basically smell like urine. Or they even put them to bed, and if they ask to go to the bathroom after bedtime, they leave them for the next shift or maybe all night. I confirmed this with my mother's roommate, who also wasn't mobile. She asked me to call the workers because she wanted to poop. When I told the worker on duty, she didn't pay any attention. The poor woman stayed there until she fell asleep, and I left at night. In short, this nursing home is not at all recommended until things change, and if your family member doesn't have the physical or mental autonomy to tell you how they're treated, even less so. My mother is now in another, also small, nursing home, and this one is family-oriented and has professional staff; she's much better off.

A safe and peaceful place where our loved ones will be cared for and accompanied. My grandfather spent the last three years of his life there, when he was no longer able to care for himself due to a fall, and he passed away at 92. The staff always attended to him very attentively, and the place is clean, welcoming, and even has a park across the street where, when the weather is nice, the staff can take the residents out for a while to get some sun, which is very beneficial for them. Thank you for everything, Las Nieves.

Highly recommended. My mother has been living here since July 1st. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's a small, welcoming residence where the service is personal and courteous. It's clean and has a park right outside where the staff take the residents for walks. The food, although catered, is homemade and suitable for elderly people like my mother. As for Miguel (the director), I can only say that he is an incredibly kind and hardworking person. Based on my experience staying in other residences in Zaragoza, I think I made the right decision.

An unparalleled nursing home. I had my mother for five months until she passed away in August. I can say that the treatment is exceptional, the food is very good, and the staff, from Yolanda, Victor, and everyone else, are exceptional. They are always attentive to each person as soon as they see they are a little sad. They monitor their vital signs individually, and if they are abnormal, they call the doctor who comes once a week or call the emergency room. As for the director, Miguel, I take my hat off to him; he is everywhere. The cleanliness of the staff and the building is noticeable as soon as you walk in. I simply thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my mother. Ricardo Pérez
