Both the director and the psychologist are excellent professionals. They are helping me a lot with my family member who has mental health issues. 100% recommended.

The setting of the nursing home is ideal. There are pine forests, clean air, and a natural environment in a very quiet neighborhood. The numerous times I visited my relative, I was able to see him without any objection. The visiting hours for family members are flexible, and there was never a single problem. I found the center to be very functional. The lobby was bright and the room had a huge window offering magnificent views of the Sierra Calderona. The director and staff were always very friendly and helpful. I would only like to point out that they are understaffed, as is often the case, and the number of staff members would need to be increased to properly care for the elderly, as they all suffer from different conditions and circumstances. There are spaces for both the elderly and those with mental illness. For this group, too, it would be highly advisable to hire specialized staff and extend the hours, which, in my opinion, are insufficient in the evenings and on weekends. Regarding the facilities, one suggestion is to expand the gym/rehabilitation area and equip it a bit, given that there are 40 residents and it's a bit understaffed. Regarding the treatment of me and my family member, who lived there until the end of his life, I have nothing but words of gratitude for the entire staff, the great work they do, and the daily effort they make given the resources available.

I can only say that my husband arrived at Arnau Hospital gasping for breath. The staff didn't know if there was enough oxygen, and he arrived dead. The nurse was a disaster; she only gave him antibiotics once a day, and he had pneumonia. Everything was a disaster. It's a shame...

The surroundings of the Residence are magnificent: pine trees, clean air, nature, and a lovely area. I can't comment on the facilities because I only visited the entrance, which seemed very functional, the bright lobby, and a room with a huge window offering magnificent views. The director and the few staff members I met made a very good impression on me. The elderly residents, whom I happened to greet each morning, seemed cheerful and very friendly.

The lack of staff is more than evident at this residence, Vista Calderona. Furthermore, during the two or three weeks of the coldest weather while my relative was there, the heating broke down and they didn't fix it. The lack of activities for the elderly residents is a reality; no music, no exercise, nothing to make their stay more pleasant. The director and the nurse, although very kind, practically never left their office. Lunch and afternoon snack were the same every day: a glass of juice and some dry biscuits. It's very hard to see what life is like in a nursing home.
