Good evening to Teresa and all the staff at the Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón Senior Residence in Salteras. I am Gema Martínez Silva, the daughter and sole caregiver of Pilar Silva Pozo. My mother, Pilar, spent July and August with you. The purpose of my writing is simply to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the staff. During these two months, I know firsthand that you cared for her with tenderness and professionalism. The treatment that both she and I received was excellent. Therefore, I couldn't let this opportunity pass without expressing how important this break has been for me, and that I was able to take it thanks to all of you. Teresa, from the very first moment, you treated me with compassion and empathy; not everyone is capable of putting themselves in the shoes of a caregiver. Thank you for all of this, Teresa. Thank you to Eli and Lucía for devising ingenious activities to stimulate the residents and for the affection you have always shown. To the nursing staff, always attentive to our needs, and to Antonio, who ensured my mother lacked nothing these past two months. And to all the auxiliary staff—care workers, cleaners, and kitchen staff. Although I haven't had the chance to learn your names, many of your kind and always smiling faces are very familiar to me. To all of you, I want to express my sincerest gratitude for caring for my mother and allowing me these months of respite from being her caregiver.
