Opiniones

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the entire team at this care home for their kindness and the care I received during such a difficult time as the passing of a family member. I also want to express my gratitude for their presence in my grandmother Amparo's life. Her final days, and the time she spent at this residence, were filled with happiness, and it was evident in her. The compassion shown, especially by Isa, during times like these is truly admirable. Thank you, team!

The price is very high for the service they provide. I don't know what the occupational therapy is because every time I went to see my mother, she was sitting in front of the TV or playing bingo. Rehabilitation, which was one of the reasons I admitted her to help her get better while I adapted her home to be comfortable, was only offered twice a week, and I had to keep asking why they wouldn't give it to her otherwise. My mother was admitted to the hospital after falling out of bed due to lack of supervision. Having just had surgery, 10 days later, at the appropriate checkup, they told me that the nail had shifted as a result of the fall and she would have to undergo surgery again. She spent almost two months in the hospital, and they kept charging the corresponding receipt as if she were in the nursing home. This is stipulated in the terms of the contract they make you sign on the day of admission. You're a little nervous and overwhelmed by the situation. You trust that they won't deceive you, but if you sign it, you're giving your consent to something that is truly unfair and a total abuse. With what you pay each month, you see that the bottles of shower gel and shampoo used for hygiene are the cheapest brand available, Amalfi, sold at dollar stores. They ignore the discharge reports submitted, and so that she doesn't bother anyone at night, they give her medication not prescribed by her doctor and decide to keep her bedridden for a wound she had from surgery. The medical report states that she should exercise her leg and stand up and sit down to avoid losing muscle mass, but according to their assessment, she should be bedridden, which makes no sense at all. An endless stream of nonsense, so if anyone is considering this nursing home for their family member, it leaves much to be desired. That said, they'll still charge you the bill, even if the person has been in the hospital for 20 days.

A magnificent center with a wonderful staff who give their all, leaving their personal problems behind to attend to their clients with a smile. Dedication, support, and care are just three words that describe what goes on there. It's very easy to undermine the work of a great team with rather unpleasant words that don't reflect reality. I have a question: if someone who speaks like you keeps their family member in a center and expresses such an opinion, given how expensive and poorly cared they are, as you claim... how can you sleep at night? From my experience, I can only congratulate you, team!

Response to Ms. Carmen Martínez Pastor, Employee of the Geron Foundation. First of all, Ms. Martínez, I want to tell you that I'm not speaking from ignorance. I'm speaking from my own experience there with my mother, who, by the way, is the one who doesn't know me. The "Mrs. de la Fe" is my mother, and she's the one who holds that title. Let me explain: 1. Just because you, Ms. Martínez, don't know me doesn't mean that the rest of your colleagues don't. Ask them. 2. Ms. Martínez, were you aware that I spoke with all the professionals I'm referring to, whom you claim I don't know and whom you insult—something I never did—to ensure they administered the medication correctly. They didn't know how to do this and weren't following the doctor's instructions. Daily treatment for basic care and treatment on demand as needed? Were you aware of this, Ms. Martínez? 3. Ms. Martínez, were you aware that it took us a great deal of time and complaints to get the nutritionist to follow the guidelines in the hospital report? 4. Did you know, Ms. Martínez, that I had spoken with the doctor and he had no idea about those medical reports I mentioned, and that he didn't even know where they were? Did you know that he told me he was going to meet with the medical team to request them and ensure proper follow-up? Ms. Martínez, that's speaking from a place of ignorance. 5. You're right about one thing: I don't have the same degree or work experience as they do. Mine is different, a career I'm extremely proud of, and I don't think you need to know about it at all, nor do I think you have any interest in it. 6. Did you know, Ms. Martínez, that there's a report from the specialist stating that the entire wound was burned due to lack of hygiene and proper care? 7. Did you know, Ms. Martínez, that the doctor at the gas diagnostic center, when we went to the emergency room because we didn't believe that doctor's nonsense due to my mother's unbearable pain, was actually Ms. MARTÍNEZ, THE DOCTOR'S VERBATIM, WAS THE LAST CARRIAGE HE HAD LEFT TO SAVE HER LIFE. 8. This translates into a life-or-death intervention, from the operating room to the ICU, ischemia, a 60 cm reduction of intestine, a lifelong colostomy bag, and 22 days of hospitalization. You tell me I'm speaking from ignorance? 9. Did Ms. Martinez know that her qualified staff didn't know how to change the bag and my sister had to go and explain and teach them? 10. Did you not know this, Ms. Martinez? 11. I'm not insulting or offending anyone; that's not my style. 12. Did you know that I know each and every one of the facilities where my mother is? Including the dirt patio overlooking the garage. 13. I also know the Director's office a little, but I do know it, she can tell you herself. Thanks to the snub we received from the Social Worker once when my mother, my sister, and I were going to the office, this woman slammed the door in our faces. She didn't even apologize; the Director came out to apologize on her behalf, which I appreciated. 14. And you think I'm speaking from ignorance, ma'am? 15. By the way, read other reviews; they're not to be missed. Ms. Martinez, have a good weekend. By the way, ask at the reception desk; the concierge knows me very well and has my name by heart. That's what happens when they know you! ☺️ I'm at your complete disposal if you need more answers or anything else. 😊 Since my review was removed, I'm posting it again!
