Opiniones

I don't recommend it. My opinion: There were few staff members, and they were constantly changing, except for a few veteran caregivers who seemed disgruntled or inexperienced, which was reflected in the treatment and care of the residents. The food was of low quality, and because there was a lack of staff and organization, they didn't even have time to prepare it. She almost always had a dirty diaper, which caused infections. The clothing was a disaster, but that's the least of it. When they showered her, they always dried out her scalp, and my mother had an itchy head. In winter, she almost always had a cold because the temperature varied from room to room. Sometimes they opened the windows to ventilate and dressed or undressed her, sometimes overdressing her and other times underdressing her. When they did turn on the TV, it was at a very high volume, which was bothersome, even though my mother could hear it perfectly. The only positive aspects I can mention are some of the veteran caregivers and the clean, modern facilities. But the most important thing, the overall care of the residents, was severely lacking. If you have any serious problems, speak directly with IMAS, not the care home. I had a lot of trouble because I always spoke to the manager when I noticed things wrong. There were a few incidents, and I only found out about them when I went to visit her, because they didn't tell us anything, except for one day when they did notify us because my mother hit her head hard and had to be taken to the emergency room. We're talking about very elderly people, with fragile health, and in my mother's case, with Alzheimer's disease. They should improve significantly.

I don't know what it's like as a care home; all I know is that the staff are rude, they don't open the door when the ambulance is called, and the patients go alone in the ambulance most of the time without the care home staff.

I have my aunt in this residential home, and every time she calls my father about it, she's full of praise for both the facilities and the care received from the great professionals there. Thank you so much for everything you do. María Del Mar (Aguilas)
