Opiniones

My father was a resident until his last day. My three sisters and I have nothing but words of gratitude for all the staff who cared for him. The treatment and affection we saw and were shown until the very end was truly special and excellent. Thank you, Toñi, to you and all your staff; we will always remember you and be forever grateful.

We want to thank you for the care my grandfather received during his stay at your residence. He considered it his home, and you've been a great family to us. As he said, thank you so much for everything.

I wanted to thank Toñi and all the staff at the Doña Emilia Residence for their humanity, dedication, and commitment, for the food, cleanliness, care, and the love they give to both the residents and their families. My mother-in-law entered the residence right in the middle of the pandemic. We were scared because of everything we heard on the news, but thanks to this residence, she was with them for four years until she passed away. I will never tire of expressing my gratitude and confirming that it is the best residence in Málaga.

Today I lost my aunt. She's gone forever. She spent her last years in this care home, and I don't have enough words to thank you for the care you gave her, how happy she was there, and for the love and support we received on this difficult day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for everything.

I don't recommend it. The elderly residents are very dirty; they're hardly ever bathed. The food is ridiculous and meager. The portions are tiny, and they go hungry. It's packaged mashed potatoes, packaged vegetables, and handfuls of food. Breakfast and afternoon tea are appalling: a stale, burnt slice of white bread with a little butter... the elderly residents can't eat that. They should be concerned with providing them with food adapted to their needs. The care is impersonal. There are very few staff members, and they spend the day locked in the living room with the TV and gossip programs playing at high volume. It's overwhelming; you can't hear anything, and they're all very irritable from the constant noise. When they take them out to the patio in the sun, it's the same: everyone staring at each other with the radio blaring. There are no activities to stimulate the elderly residents. Just TV and radio. The small chalet itself is decent; it has heating and air conditioning, and everything is well-suited for the elderly residents. The two young women provide excellent service; the rest leave much to be desired. They lack patience, and if an elderly resident becomes aggressive, they respond in kind. This is understandable given how overwhelmed they are; they urgently need more staff because the situation is very neglected.
