Opiniones

I'm disappointed with this nursing home. I've had a relative residing there since March 7th (of which he spent 26 days in the hospital), and we're looking forward to getting him out. Honestly, if you love your loved ones, don't bring them here. It's a very depressing place, where the treatment of the elderly and their families is appalling and leaves much to be desired. They sometimes lose residents and even forget them within the nursing home itself... in our case, they left him forgotten in his room without bringing him down to have breakfast with the rest of the residents on two consecutive occasions during the same weekend. Furthermore, they don't follow the medical guidelines given to them by the hospitals, and if they do, they apply them in their own way. Fortunately, Julio, one of the nurses, has shown genuine concern for his health and improvement. He was admitted urgently so he could improve and undergo rehabilitation, but the only rehabilitation he receives lasts less than five minutes. Feeding is another serious problem: they can spend several days serving the same thing without following medical guidelines. He's even been eating kibble every day for a week! Hygiene is also poor; they can go up to six days without a shower, and they have to wash the cat in the bed itself. Today the last straw: they had to admit him to the hospital. The nursing home called us to let us know they had requested an ambulance, and despite us clearly indicating which hospital he should be transferred to, they ignored our instructions and decided to take him to another facility on their own. After an hour and a half waiting at the wrong hospital, we called the nursing home to confirm the information, and they responded very rudely, telling us that if we wanted to know where he was, we could go and check it ourselves. Furthermore, this nursing home doesn't provide complaint forms, and in our case, the Municipal Police had to intervene to obtain them. We're also concerned about the presence of solvent bottles within the residents' reach. The treatment received leaves much to be desired. Our relative, who is cognitively healthy, tells us everything that's happening... I don't want to imagine what the treatment is like for those with some form of dementia or cognitive impairment, especially on the higher floors of this facility. Honestly, if you love and value your loved ones, this is not the right place. And if any of your admitted relatives tell you about similar situations, believe them. It's very depressing.

Many thanks to the Dos de Mayo Residence for the care of our elderly residents. Our aunt Manuela stayed for six months, and the care she received was wonderful. The manager, Beatriz, the supervisor, the caregivers, the cleaning and maintenance staff, and Noel—everyone treated her exceptionally well. Thank you all so much. We highly recommend it.

I can only say good things about the nursing home. Starting with Beatriz, the manager, and ending with all the healthcare and support staff. The nursing home feels like a small family, and I've always felt my mother was well cared for.

A very nice place, clean and quiet. The residents are wonderful; they brighten your day and make you want to visit just to see them. However, if you do your nursing assistant placement here, you'll have a difficult time with your colleagues. Basically, you do their job, and then they tell their superiors that all you do is talk to the residents and take an hour's break. I only recommend this residence because the residents need to be in good hands.

I wouldn't recommend anyone put a loved one in that care home. My mother almost died because they abandoned her. I have a report from the ambulance service that came to get her. It's a horrible place where the residents are presumably overmedicated to keep them quiet. The staff, who do the best they can, change frequently. In the two years my mother was there, countless people passed through that home. They aren't cared for. My mother, who had Alzheimer's, escaped twice because they didn't have the resources to control the residents... And I could tell you a thousand other things. If you love them, don't send them to that hellhole.
