Opiniones

My father has been in this care home for 15 months. We will never be able to thank the caregivers here enough for what they have done for him. The vulnerability of our loved ones when we need help caring for them is tremendous, and the support we have felt and the care our father has received at this center have been extraordinary. We could name many professionals who work there, from the management team, nurses and doctors, administrative staff, cleaning staff, and the caregivers. The work done by those caregivers, our dear Conchi and Emilia, as well as their other colleagues, is truly remarkable. The care and love with which they treat all their residents is truly special. We highly recommend this center for everything: cleanliness, services, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and compassion. Thank you for helping our father maintain his dignity until the very end. Frankly, I don't believe the five-star ratings I see elsewhere. I wouldn't give it less because I can't; my mother's experience here has been awful. I don't know how they treat other elderly residents, but my mother, having Alzheimer's and being unable to speak, can't complain. Every time we visited her, we observed the same problems: she was always dirty; once, she hadn't even had a diaper on; her clothes kept disappearing; and, coincidentally, every time we went, she had cheap sausages to eat, the kind that cost less than a euro. She was very neglected, always immobilized in a corner. The center offers physiotherapy, but my mother has never received it. Sitting in a chair all day has caused her to lose muscle mass, and now she can't even stand up. The final straw was when they left her alone in the shower, and she fell, hitting her head hard. The doctors told us that one more centimeter and she would have been killed instantly. She's also had an eye infection for some time, and it hasn't been treated. Sometimes I took my mother to the bathroom, and she had several bruises. They told me not to take her, that they were responsible for it; they didn't like it at all. I saw a new employee I didn't like at all, a large, rather rude young woman. I saw her coughing on the elderly residents, which I find outrageous. Everyone was wearing a mask, and she kept pulling hers down and coughing incessantly. How awful! Of course, we moved my mother to another care home, and what a difference! She's eating much better, she's gained weight because she was skin and bones. I'm starting to doubt they fed her properly at Campodón. Now they keep her clean, take care of her, and they've treated her eye infection, something they didn't bother with here. I don't recommend this care home, where people aren't treated with dignity. If you ask for the complaints book, they'll try to convince you to give up. I encourage anyone going through a similar situation to file a complaint, and if necessary, take it to the ombudsman. Going up to the third floor and seeing the elderly residents is heartbreaking and infuriating. I don't know how we could have had my mother there. She can't speak, but you always saw an incredible sadness in her eyes, and tears would well up in her eyes. Luckily, my mother is no longer in that awful place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESIDENCE!!! EDIT: A month later, in the new residence, my mother has lost that sad look. She has gained weight and is very well cared for. She speaks with her eyes, whereas in Campodón, her tears and sad gaze were a cry for help. The change has been radical! My mother was malnourished and covered in bruises, completely neglected. Please, if you have family members with Alzheimer's, do not take your loved ones to this horrific residence. The third floor is a horrible place where the elderly are treated with indignity; they cannot defend themselves. Shameful!

My mother has been in this care home for several months now, and we couldn't be happier. The staff is very caring, there's constant medical attention, and you can tell they're truly dedicated. She feels safe, and we feel very at ease.

My mother was temporarily admitted for post-operative recovery, and the experience was excellent. The medical staff were very attentive and kept us informed at all times. We would definitely trust them again if needed.

We found this center through a recommendation from another family, and it was an excellent choice. The care they provide is top-notch, and the staff is made up of highly trained professionals who attend to every aspect a resident needs. Everything, from daily care to emotional support, is carefully managed. We were impressed that, despite the size of the facility, it maintains a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We always found someone willing to assist us and answer any questions we had.
