Opiniones

An absolute disappointment! There are some capable and professional people...but on the third floor it's a disgrace...most of them work without any vocation, which I think is very important, and they have absolutely no empathy for the elderly residents...plus, clothes, belongings, etc., disappear... And why don't they send the invoices we pay? It's a complete mess on the part of the Residence...and don't even bother contacting customer service because they never answer!! It's heartbreaking and makes me feel helpless...

My mother has been here for two years. There's a constant shortage of caregivers. The situation is dire on the third floor, where the most vulnerable residents are, and where my mother lives. Sometimes all 20 residents are alone in the common room because the staff is attending to them in their rooms. If a verbal complaint doesn't get results, filing a complaint through the official complaint forms of the Community of Madrid is the next step. If the response is unsatisfactory, the complaint is taken to the consumer protection agency so they can forward it to the Department of Social Affairs. My mother has been left several times without bathing and covered in urine until noon, when they finally finished, only to be taken to lunch shortly after at 1 p.m. I know that other residents have been in the same situation. That means almost 16 hours in bed without moving—for a person almost 90 years old with cognitive impairment!—hours and hours staring at the ceiling and missing the morning therapies that would help her. This is ABUSE of a vulnerable person and violates her right to rehabilitation. The manager, Inma, told me that they could start cleaning residents until 11:30. I was shocked by how casually they said it, as if they were running a plumbing company where screws can be packaged at any hour without consequence. It would be preferable for the management to raise the price somewhat and provide more caregivers, with qualifications and a genuine desire to care for residents. Furthermore, the condition of the residents' rooms is not regularly checked. That said, the building is beautiful, and the activity, therapy, and healthcare staff do their jobs well, like Mari Cruz and Pilar... within the limitations imposed by the staff-to-resident ratio. The receptionists, Conchi, Verónica, and Beatriz, are exceptionally good.

It's a complete disaster. Since the change to BOUCO, everything has gotten worse. My mother has been there for several years (she's a dependent person), and it's a nightmare. There's hardly any staff; you arrive at the dependent person's ward, and they're all alone. They don't take care of them; they treat them like furniture. It's a business where they're only interested in the 3,000-plus euros a month that we pay. I'm thinking of changing care providers, as we no longer trust their care. Besides, no matter how much you complain to the director, the assistant director, the doctor, etc., it makes no difference; it's completely useless.

Enrique Benéitez (1030) I'm having a full-blown nervous breakdown, I feel like throwing myself down the stairs, and when I call a doctor, they tell me Mrs. Justo is on duty today. So I've decided I'm going without medical help today. Enduring that woman yelling in her office or in my room will be much worse for my health than not seeing a doctor at all.

Very poor service. Unqualified and unmotivated staff, with a few exceptions eager to leave. Elderly residents are poorly cared for. Continual errors with medication and diet. High-cost medications are lost. No responsibility is taken. Poor facilities. Radiators and air conditioners leak water. The indoor rehabilitation pool closed three years ago. Residents with mental health problems roaming uncontrollably around the residence and entering rooms. Staff strikes leave residents without food. Poor quality food. Most meals aren't cooked on-site; they're bought frozen. Poor manners. Continual lack of respect and humanity. The director is incompetent. In just one month of our summer stay, we had enough time to look for other alternatives. We left six days early even though we had paid for the month. And they couldn't care less. Don't be influenced by the facilities and don't trust Bouco with your senior's care. It's also very expensive.
