Opiniones

In the beginning, with few residents, it functioned well. When the number of residents increased, the decline was brutal. Initially, they had Dr. Ana, who was quite professional, but she left (too good to continue), and those who came after her were all worse. The staff was unsupervised and had a high turnover rate, and the director said they were better off working there than cleaning houses. They even posted a resident's file in a WhatsApp group for residents' families. That says it all. If you have other options, consider them, and if there's no other choice, keep a close eye on your loved one and don't trust anything they tell you. I speak from experience because my father met a tragic end, a victim of the unprofessionalism of the care home's "doctor" and a complete lack of management. The director had zero empathy and was completely unqualified for the position. I can't understand how it's still open; it would never pass a serious inspection.

The treatment of the elderly residents is appalling; they're practically parked and completely ignored. If you don't want to lose your loved ones and have them suffer, don't take them to this residence. I visited daily for over a year and saw everything. They're only there to make money. Perhaps the same is true in all residences, but I only know this one. There are no professionals caring for our elderly. Of the caregivers I know, only Yolanda, and a few others, show empathy or concern for the residents.

Terrible place, I absolutely do not recommend it. There's a lack of organization and coordination. The director is rude and ill-mannered; she's been seen yelling at several employees. Complaints regarding the elderly residents are never addressed, and our relatives' clothing goes missing. Some of the nursing staff are good, others are rude and offer no solutions. There's no supervision, and transportation to activities is chaotic. They take no responsibility for anything, denying diapers, and the assistants complain about their workload. In short, it's a place I wouldn't recommend bringing your family members to. The residence itself is beautiful, but the service is terrible from management to the last employee.

I don't know where to begin, but it has to be somewhere. Unfortunately, I only have one positive thing to say: Yolanda is the best employee at the residence—empathetic, caring, and hardworking… but she's THE ONLY ONE! The rest… not even the director, who sets the best example but has the worst customer service. Having said that, I'll list some things we really didn't like: 1) Dirty sheets for several days until we complained… 2) Hair and face dirty from food first thing in the morning… I understand that breakfast can get dirty, but a little more personal consideration and empathy would mean they wouldn't be like that from the start… obviously, out of respect for my mother's dignity, I'm not posting a photo. 3) They put my mother on an IV drip because she hadn't eaten for a day (which is good because it means they're monitoring her to prevent dehydration), but they didn't inform the family about what was happening... and her not eating is serious. When you arrive, you find her on an IV drip and have to find the doctor to explain, instead of them calling and informing us of the situation. 4) When she started getting very ill, we arrived at her room and found her on morphine! Seriously?! Without informing the family! I think it's great that they're taking precautions... but shouldn't they at least call to inform us? We're talking about morphine! And we arrived and found this mess... find the doctor and ask them to explain what's happening and why they didn't call! Only then did we find out she was already very ill... what a way to handle things... 4) A month after being admitted, she lost 5 kg! A small, petite woman... and THEY DIDN'T NOTICE!!! We had to ask them to tell us what was happening… and that's when they realized she had indeed lost a lot of weight for her condition… (she wasn't moving, she was practically like a vegetable)… and because of the weight loss, they had to adjust her medication… so it's no joke… it's causing her a lot of health problems!!!! And the doctor, the assistants… don't notice this weight loss!???? 5) And what's truly outrageous!!!! And I think it's absolutely appalling… THEY DON'T CLEAN THEM WHEN THEY CHANGE THEIR DIAPERS!!!!!! When it's urine… because according to (the exact words of an assistant): it's just urine…!!!! As healthcare professionals, they should know that it's a breeding ground for infections, yeast infections… Just having diapers is a breeding ground for infections, but not cleaning them… and I'm telling you this because it happened to me more than once, with different assistants and on different wards… and do you know what the director's solution was???? They forbade us from being present when they changed her diaper… Instead of addressing this malpractice, their solution was to kick us out of the room when they came to change her. So please… if you love your loved one, think carefully before taking them to this residence… It's deplorable… I find it inhumane. I wonder if they don't clean themselves after using the bathroom! What degrading and unprofessional treatment. Our family members lose their dignity when they're admitted here… And why didn't we change her residence? Because we had already made one change, and requesting a second one isn't so easy… and it takes a long time. You're forced by the situation to take a family member to a residence.

Insufficient attention and dedication, as well as poor coordination among staff. The service offered isn't worth the average €2,500 per month it charges. Wrong medications, or medications not given at all, lack of sensitivity and adaptation to the individual needs of each grandparent, endless wait times to go down to activities, for meals, or to come up from the dining room; grandparents screaming desperately in the hallway with no one to help them; insufficient food... When you speak to the managers, you're offered only kind words but few solutions. I've gone to see my grandmother three times a week and have always encountered the same situation. This is yet another center that DOES BUSINESS with our grandparents.
