Opiniones

You can probably tell who my mother is by my last name. I don't understand why you question all the negative reviews. I can question all the positive reviews because I don't understand how anyone with a family member of sound mind could leave a good review without mentioning how terrible the food is. The residence has good facilities, and the staff, though very few, are very caring towards the residents. The management is awful because despite the complaints and negative reviews, they do nothing, and things are getting worse every day. Today, for example, they served them raw rice. Apparently, there wasn't enough, so they added more without cooking it. This isn't unusual; another time they served them raw noodles, lentils with hardly any lentils and added peas, beans that were just skins, or soup that was practically water with almost nothing in it. They also served them hamburgers that couldn't be cut with a knife, or noodle soup as a starter and fideuà as a main course. The rice was either hard or just mushy. I doubt there's a professional in the kitchen, as I'm sure they'd be incapable of doing that. I know the previous head housekeeper cooked on some days. The fruit is scarce and of terrible quality. I saw a kiwi the size and hard as a golf ball. I don't know where they buy it; I doubt any fruit wholesaler carries that kind. For what we pay, there's no fruit available in case they want some or yogurt. Often there's no toilet paper, and when there is, they give them very little. Another problem that has occurred is that when someone presses the emergency button, no one comes, or they arrive at night from an emergency at the hospital and no one answers the door. In conclusion, it's a residence with good facilities and very caring staff, but terrible management. I don't understand how the central office, aware of this serious situation, doesn't take immediate action. I apologize for the length of this message, but I could write for hours. I hope the answer isn't that they have no record of me having any relatives in the residence. I've included my full name; you have my phone number and my siblings' numbers. You can call us anytime from the EMERA Boadilla address or from EMERA's main office. Best regards

Is it normal to be spreading scabies in the 21st century? To serve frozen, uncooked fish? Paella with rice straight from the package? Management and staff are always meeting, and when they finally do serve you, they offer nothing but empty promises. A little dignity for our elderly, whose monthly bills exceed their pensions.

This care home ran out of toilet paper on January 4th, 5th, and 6th. On January 4th, they ran out of sugar. They also ran out of tablecloths. And the less said about the food, the better. If I started making a list, I'd be here until 2027 and still wouldn't be finished. If they can't find a cook, there must be a reason. What's more, on some weekends when they don't have a cook, Nuria, the former housekeeper, makes the food. And yes, you don't have my information in your database because I don't share a last name with my grandmother, so you can avoid the automatic response that you don't know who I am.

I am writing to you to lodge a complaint regarding the quality of the food currently served at the residence. First, I want to state that the staff's attention is adequate and their treatment of the residents is good, which we greatly appreciate. However, we feel it necessary to express our dissatisfaction with the food, as it is routinely hard, unappetizing, and of poor quality. This leads many residents to not enjoy it or even refuse it altogether. It is unacceptable that they sometimes order food from outside the residence. Given the importance of adequate, balanced, and enjoyable food for the health, well-being, and mood of the elderly, we believe this issue should be reviewed urgently. We would appreciate it if you would investigate this situation and take the necessary steps to improve the preparation, texture, and presentation of the menus, for the benefit of the residents and their families. We await your response and any actions that may be taken to resolve this problem. Sincerely, Pablo Pérez

I understand that you read the reviews about the food, which is the most frequent complaint about the residence. The food is often served hard and poorly prepared. I've been making this complaint since the residence opened. In the end, the residents choose not to eat. I can't understand why the management isn't doing anything about it. Solutions have been suggested: changing suppliers and trying new recipes with sauces. I think the complaints aren't being taken seriously, and solutions aren't being sought; otherwise, I don't understand how the food continues to be the most common complaint about the residence.
