Opiniones

Don't even think about bringing anyone here, if you have any compassion. We had to get my mother-in-law out of here because of mistreatment and poor care. They laughed at her behind her back and left her neglected, something she told us about, but we thought she was exaggerating until one of the nurses there told us. Apparently, the director, the receptionist, and a few others form a circle and criticize and laugh at the patients instead of attending to them and helping them. It's awful, and the fact that one of the staff members told me this is shocking. My mother-in-law had many bruises; they neglected her for hours in the hallways. She always smelled of urine. We were suspicious until this nurse confirmed it. She felt so sorry for how they treated her that she got our phone number and told us everything. We've already gotten her out of there, and she's in a much better place. They have no compassion for anyone, least of all people in wheelchairs; it seems to bother them more that they're disabled. It's so sad that human beings are this way. We got her out of there, and now she's in a new residence here in Majadahonda.

As a social worker in the sector, if you receive a call from the Community of Madrid offering this residence, please refuse it. We were waiting to request a transfer for my grandmother, but it wasn't possible because they haven't provided a replacement social worker for several months. Although that was the least of our problems. The treatment couldn't be less humane; they change diapers with the bathroom doors open, violating their privacy. When you complain to the few staff members they have, they won't even look at you. They don't send you lab tests or share the results. As a family, we noticed that my grandmother had lost 5 kg in the summer, but the residence didn't send us any weight records and therefore offered no solutions. She was practically starving, and they didn't notify us. You only see your loved one sitting on a sofa without any kind of cognitive stimulation. Don't even expect to see the director, no matter what your problem is. Unfortunately, my grandmother has passed away, and they haven't even sent a single flower to offer their condolences, something that is done in any other residence, and I know this from experience. My grandmother deserved all the praise in the world. Please read the reviews and don't bring any loved ones here. This isn't going to end here, anyway. Best regards.

My experience at this care home has been truly disappointing. The lack of organization and empathy towards the elderly is palpable. There is no dignified care or humane treatment; it seems the only thing that matters is fulfilling the bare minimum and getting by. The staff shows no real interest in the residents, communication with families is terrible, and the overall conditions leave much to be desired. One expects that in a place like this, the elderly will be cared for and respected, but here everything feels cold and neglected. It is a real shame to see how a place that should offer well-being and tranquility ends up generating anxiety and distrust. I would not recommend this care home to anyone who wants the best for their loved ones.

“Residence,” better called an asylum, like in the old days, where people were left staring into space without any kind of stimulation. That's how my grandmother was during her eight-month stay. I'm an occupational therapist, so I know a thing or two about this. After several errors of different kinds (confusion with pills, lack of privacy in personal hygiene, etc.), they never gave a reasonable explanation. This usually happens when you know you're doing something wrong. My grandmother passed away on Friday without being able to tell us these things because of the cognitive decline she suffered, but we visited her often, and she came to our house every weekend, so we were able to see these things. She died as a result of terminal cancer, which we were unaware of, and I don't blame the residence at all. I do blame the lack of information and humanity when we asked if my grandmother was eating as much as before because she had lost weight, and they hadn't reported anything about it. If we hadn't insisted to the doctor about what might be wrong with her, my grandmother would surely have died in the nursing home without us knowing why. Finally, not a single message of condolence, not even a single flower as a parting gift. If you're looking for a home for your loved one, this is definitely not it.
