This is the beginning of a personal story... About five years ago, in the midst of the pandemic, a beloved relative (our aunt), due to her age (93) and delicate health, was recommended by the medical center to be admitted to a nursing home in the Community of Madrid. With a widow's pension and no children, she was granted a place at the Santa Isabel senior center at 30 Valleja Street in Moralzarzal. Upon arriving at this center, one immediately felt a sense of comfort, peace, hospitality, and affection. The people who run this center (management, medical staff, nursing staff, caregivers, kitchen staff, physiotherapy, hairdressing, podiatry, cleaning staff—please excuse me if I omit any services) are incredible: humane, caring, and affectionate. They treat the residents with special attention, kissing them, hugging them, smiling at them, and even knowing their names—a sincere sign of love. I want to personally thank the Santa Isabel senior center at 30 Valleja Street in Moralzarzal, Madrid, for their outstanding professionalism in such a delicate and essential task. My grandmother lived there until she recently passed away and always received wonderful care. The staff at the residence are fully qualified and dedicated to the residents. It's a friendly residence where seniors can enjoy a warm, family atmosphere in a beautiful setting.

My mother was there for a year, and I always found her clean and well cared for. They would let me know about any minor issues. You could feed her. The caregivers were wonderful. Because it's a small residence, everyone knows you and they treated both my mother and me very personally. At least, that's what I felt.

My mother has been there for a month and a half now, and although it's far away and I have to travel many kilometers, I like it and haven't requested a transfer closer to home. The medical and staff care is excellent. Everything is renovated, welcoming, and the armchairs and furniture are designed to promote her independence. Its location in the mountains and the fact that it's like a cozy, single-story chalet make it feel more human.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to ALL the staff at the center who cared for and looked after our aunt from June 2023 until her passing. Starting with the doctor, who helped and supported us from the very beginning and was attentive to our aunt throughout her illness; to the nursing staff who were always there; a thousand thanks to Chelo, the therapist, an excellent professional and a wonderful person, always smiling and attentive to all the residents; and to the psychological services, especially to María José, who, although she is no longer there, was with us and attentive to our aunt from the moment she entered the center. Thanks to Nacho, the physiotherapist with whom she enjoyed her exercises, to Cristian, who accompanied our aunt to her medical appointments when we couldn't go with her, and of course, to all the support staff—cleaning, laundry, and dining room—as well as the center's management, who are absolutely dedicated and, above all, incredibly patient with the elderly residents. A special mention to Sasha, an excellent worker, always at the service of the residents and their families, and finally, a special mention for Vanesa, a truly wonderful person and professional.
