As long as my mother was able-bodied, we were happy in this nursing home. The moment my mother became unable to care for herself and lost her cognitive abilities, everything became a disaster: 1. We had to complain several times to have the curtains washed and the corners of the room cleaned. 2. My mother's wedding ring, a medallion with my father's photo, and an earring have disappeared in less than six months, and the management hasn't given us any solution. 3. My mother's dentures have already disappeared twice. They've noted it in the incident log, but no one looks for them until family members arrive and realize they're missing. She's been missing for more than three days, and no one does anything. The first time, she appeared cracked at the dry cleaners, and it cost us more than 100 euros to repair. Luckily, today, she's reappeared, again at the dry cleaners, but intact. 4. We arrived to visit my mother and found her eyes covered in sleep, even though she has special wipes in her room to clean them, since she can't do it alone. Today, her feet were freezing, and they hadn't put on her a single pair of meager socks. We go on visits nervously, waiting to see what we find. If my mother weren't already almost 100 years old, we wouldn't hesitate to take her from Amavir Gerafe to another nursing home.

After calling numerous times to find out about the waiting list my mother was on in August (or so I was told) and requesting my phone number so they could contact me, I still haven't received any help. This response is enough to make it clear that I don't want this nursing home for my mother. Terrible management.

We couldn't be happier with Alba, the center's director. She has guided us perfectly in caring for our family member and has always been there for us whenever we needed her. It's clear she has experience working with seniors and families and that she truly loves her job. We need more professionals with Alba's skills.

The laundry service is terrible. Clothes are frequently mishandled and damaged. My father has had items that were torn, shrunken, etc., several times. Also, items that were "lost," especially socks and t-shirts. You have to insist several times until they find the wrong items. It's no good complaining just once; you have to insist several times, both with the housekeeper, the manager, and reception.

Well, where do I start? I'm giving it one star because -5 doesn't let me. A few months ago, my grandmother's gold medal (from my deceased grandfather) disappeared (in this large nursing home). A few months later, her (wedding) ring disappeared, and then we realized she didn't have her earrings either (wow, what a surprise). Amidst all this, we went one day and her bottom dentures were gone. Magically (after complaining, of course, and realizing they weren't there because they're walking, and they call you to tell you your relative doesn't have dentures so they can make new ones so they can eat comfortably. It must be more ethical and moral to wait for the relative to come and notice) they appeared at the laundry. Obviously, those dentures were no longer useful because they had been washed, and a new one had to be made (guess who paid for the new dentures, my grandmother, indeed). While she was getting her new dentures made, she developed a fungal infection on one of her fingernails, and to top it all off, one day we arrived and (surprise, my grandmother had painted her nails), so they couldn't apply the fungicide properly. Another thing is, they're not capable of removing the nail polish from that nail, or they won't be able to remove the polish at all, especially since she has FUNGUS. We told the assistant who was in my grandmother's unit at the time, and her response was: "No, we didn't paint them, it must have been you (the family). Obviously, we weren't the ones. My grandmother never painted her nails, and we don't paint them either because she doesn't like it. But, the important thing is that YOU REALLY SEE HER PAINTED NAILS AND KNOW SHE HAS FUNGUS, AND YOU'RE INABLE TO REMOVE THE POLISH, AT LEAST ON THAT NAIL." In the end, I removed the polish because if it had been up to them, the polish would still be there with the fungus. Back to the topic of dentures, today we're going to see my grandmother, and haha, THE BOTTOM DENTURES WERE NOT THERE AGAIN!!!! (What a surprise, right?) We asked the assistants, they didn't know anything, we searched the entire room and bathroom, and they weren't there either. LUCKY GUY THE AID WHO WAS THERE DID US THE FAVOR OF GOING DOWN TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM, AND THERE THEY WERE AGAIN!!!!!! We went down to talk to the housekeeper, and (don't think she's giving us a great solution), she actually agreed with us. AND TO TOP IT OFF, IT WAS 15/20 DEGREES AND MY GRANDMA TELLING ME HER FEET ARE COLD, SHE WASN'T EVEN WEARING SOCKS!!!!!! Anyway, if you're thinking of taking your family member or friend to this nursing home, definitely don't do it, because these kinds of things are what will happen to you (unfortunately). And if you're a family member and you have a loved one there and something similar has happened to you, we'll have to band together and complain, since doing it alone and separately won't help, beyond them agreeing with you and keeping things the same.
