Opiniones

Just to give it some credit so I can write a review… Don't take your relatives to this care home. It's currently managed by someone who doesn't care about the residents' well-being. Some of the elderly residents have bruises on their arms and hands from mistreatment, and she's aware of it but does nothing. They don't value the staff; the caregivers barely have any days off, and the coordinators (if you can even call them that) treat the staff terribly with rudeness and shouting. Add to that this woman's lack of experience and interest in managing something so important. Cheers!

Since Lali, the former director, left, "the ship is sinking." They've tried to manage with several directors, without any success. The current director is a complete stranger, because she's never seen, always in meetings, and with the door closed. I've been going to the residence for several years because I have a relative there, and I know a lot of information firsthand. The staff are exhausted, anxious, some even crying when asked what's going on. They tell terrible stories about the director and the human resources department, who, by the way, is incredibly arrogant and has a delusional sense of superiority. I've seen firsthand how she treats the nursing assistants (most of whom are Latin American) with such contempt and in such a rude manner. It's unheard of to keep someone like that in this type of organization. The atmosphere is very hostile, which I don't like because most of the staff seem to be in a very bad mood, and consequently, they're providing poor service to the families and the other residents. As for the management by the infamous director, it's shameful. There's a shortage of staff, they can't even manage their duties, the staff turnover is staggering, and her employees never last. It's no surprise, given everything that's going on. Important workers like Ana (the social worker) and Beatriz (the nurse) have left, and I'm only able to keep my relative here thanks to the Doctor, who is the only one truly committed and takes excellent care of the rest of our elderly residents. If she leaves, I'll move my relative out immediately. Chronicle of a Death Foretold...

And I'm not giving it a zero because I can't; the treatment of the elderly residents is truly shameful. To begin with, there are only three caregivers for everyone, and I must mention the one in the dining room (short and dark-haired) who was incredibly rude. Knowing that one resident has anorexia and struggles to eat, if she refused to eat one day, she would take her plate away and leave her without food. Furthermore, if they couldn't find pajamas for her (even though they were in the closet), they put her to bed naked in just a diaper. It's obvious they aren't her mothers, fathers, or grandparents. You're a bunch of shameless people. I hope you never experience that when you reach that age. They also leave medication pills in the food dishes, within everyone's reach. And once, they even gave her medication that was meant for her. When we ask questions, like whether they've treated a wound or given her medication, they always say they don't know. Please do yourselves a favor and don't put your relatives there if you want to keep them for much longer.

I'm still trying to figure out how this nursing home, with so few caregivers, is doing the impossible to CARE FOR THEM. I went with a friend to see the relative at 11 a.m. They were having breakfast because there weren't anyone to wake them up, and at 1 p.m. they start eating. Tell me how this can be accepted. They lose clothes, they tell us what's in the laundry, and they always tell us the same thing. In August, we saw a man dressed in winter pants, a T-shirt, and a sweater. The poor guy told us he was feeling dizzy, and we told the staff. We've never been able to tell the director. Please, if I had to take my family, I wouldn't. They should be giving them cognitive therapy, games, etc., and they always have them sitting down. They don't have a garden, and they're always breathing their air. Please, EMERA nursing home in Guadalajara, hire more workers, that's what these retirees are paid so much for. Regards

We've given it 4 stars and we'll explain why. We're very happy with the service we've received from all the staff, from the cleaners to the manager and everyone in between. Of course, nothing in life is perfect. One suggestion to reach 5 stars would be to have more staff so as not to overburden the others. Finally, we want to send them all our love and thanks.
