We had a lot of problems in a very short time. We admitted my grandmother at the end of June. A month later, she showed up with bruises on her arms (she never had this in the hospital, where she stayed for eight months). The staff at the care home couldn't give us an explanation, and the director treated us very rudely and with a defiant attitude (even suggesting we leave). Finally, they explained that the bruises were caused by tying her up during the night, even though no one had informed us of this. After that, Yago, one of the staff members, went out of his way to help us, and we are grateful for his empathy and professionalism, something I can't say about Jacqueline, the director. Shortly after, my grandmother passed away, and then the problems started again. The director assured us that we would receive a refund of the money we were owed (deposit and for the days of care we hadn't used). After countless delays, I was forced to file a complaint, at which point she excused herself by claiming she was just another employee with no decision-making power. Days later, I discovered that Jacqueline is the owner's daughter (SURPRISE!). Naturally, I felt deceived and cheated by the director's utter dishonesty and filed a legal claim for a refund, successfully recovering what was rightfully mine (she had tried to charge €3,000 for the six days my grandmother stayed before passing away). However, we were denied access to the pharmacy receipts (we ended up paying €140), which demonstrates the complete lack of transparency of the facility. It's unbelievable that we had to go through all of this while grieving. I certainly do not recommend this nursing home to anyone.

I recommended this care home trusting in its good work, but I was greatly disappointed after a friend's terrible experience with her mother. The director's behavior was completely unprofessional. Decisions about the elderly woman's care were made without informing the family beforehand, exorbitant pharmacy fees (€140) were charged without receipts, and the contract clauses were not honored when the woman passed away. The family had to take legal action to recover the amount corresponding to the month's care that the elderly woman had not yet received. Beware of this care home.

My experience at this care home was awful. When I admitted my mother, everything seemed fine, but I was soon disappointed. One day I found my mother with cuts and bruises on her arms. I was terrified and demanded answers, but no one knew anything. I called Jacqueline, the director, who, far from showing empathy, lost her temper and complained about being called outside of her working hours and criticized my mother's behavior, instead of offering us any emotional support. She also yelled at an employee in our presence. That day I discovered that the injuries on my mother's arms were caused by tying her up during the night, something no one had informed me about or asked permission for, even though I was her legal guardian. If I left my mother at the care home after that, it was because of Yago, one of the staff members, who went out of his way to help, empathize with us, and offer us the encouragement that the director couldn't. Two months later, my mother passed away. As stated in the contract, we gave timely notice so that her place could be filled by someone else. My mother left the residence on October 6th, and the monthly fee (€3,000) had already been charged. Therefore, we requested a refund of the deposit (€500) and the amount corresponding to the days she hadn't used the residence (almost a month). The director assured us there wouldn't be a problem, but weeks went by and no one refunded us anything. Every time I asked, she made excuses to avoid seeing me until, after much persistence, I finally managed to schedule an appointment. On that day, only the deposit was returned, from which the cost of the medication (which had already been included in the monthly fee, meaning I was charged twice) was deducted, and I was also charged for a supposed pedicure my mother had received, which I wasn't informed about. Not to mention that my mother's feet didn't look like someone who had just had a pedicure. Shameful. I felt it was outrageous that the care home had the audacity to keep €3,000 for six days, so I filed a claim through a law firm. After more than three months, the expenses this caused me, and the psychological toll it took, I finally managed to get my money back. However, I couldn't get the director to provide me with the pharmacy receipts. Despite requesting them through my lawyer, Jacqueline refused to show them to me, and I haven't been able to verify the accuracy of those expenses, which seemed exorbitant to me (I even paid €140 for pharmacy expenses for someone who had everything for free). I think it's only fair that people know what kind of treatment they offer here, which is anything but honest.

We recently had a relative stay at this nursing home, and the experience was quite disappointing. This is a highly unrecommended place with a terrible management. So much so that the Home Hospitalization Service (HADO) told us they weren't providing care at this facility due to past disputes with the director. This complicated matters for us, as we had to leave our relative admitted (with the resulting stress and disorientation) instead of being treated at the nursing home by HADO. Please bear this in mind. During our relative's stay, serious incidents occurred that were not reported, and we found her with bruises and injuries. The director's treatment was appalling, complaining rudely that we couldn't call her outside of work hours, which was illogical since she is the only person in charge there. As if that weren't enough, she threatened her employee in our presence for having previously hinted at her dissatisfaction with the center's management. An event that was violent, unpleasant, and unprofessional, and it made us consider the possibility of relocating our relative. In the end, we decided not to relocate due to his delicate health, and since then, I recognize that Yago, an employee, was emotionally devoted to us and our relative, for which we are grateful. As our relative was spending his final moments in the hospital, we notified the manager that we were vacating the space on October 6th and that he could use it. However, she stated that they would observe a month of mourning without occupying it so as not to affect the other residents. We had already been charged for the month of October, and since we notified him in time about the vacancy due to his death, we claimed the proportional share of the days not used. The manager didn't object, but the days went by and we didn't receive what we were owed, so we filed a complaint. Jacqueline, the manager, changed her story about mourning for the well-being of the other residents and justified keeping the entire monthly payment because she hadn't been able to use the space, accusing us of not having picked up our relative's belongings in the first few days (four items of clothing that fit in one bag). This seemed petty and dirty to us, as she never mentioned this to us or took into account the grief we were going through. Before the deadline for claiming the monthly payment under the contract expired, we proceeded to file a legal claim, obtaining a verdict and urging her to return what we were owed. However, even today, we have not received itemized invoices from the pharmacy, so we cannot verify our relative's expenses, which apparently seem exorbitant. Therefore, I recommend that everyone who has a resident here request a breakdown of their pharmacy bills, as they have every right to know and verify WHAT and HOW MANY medications they are being charged. I have never encountered a place so lacking in professionalism and transparency in my life.

My brother and I took our father there within hours, because he was being discharged from the hospital after an injury and hip surgery. They treated us with so much kindness. It took him a little while to adjust, but with the help of Yago, María, and Jaqueline, he settled in quickly, and two years later, he's still there. Thank you for taking care of him.
