Opiniones

I'm the granddaughter of a resident, and our family and I have nothing but words of gratitude for this wonderful team. They're incredibly attentive to her condition and her pathologies, all accompanied by care and affection. They keep us informed at all times and seek solutions.

Unfortunately, we have been here for a short time. The most visible staff are 10, both the reception staff and the entire nursing team. They have treated my father with great care. Many thanks, especially to Rosa for the care with which she has treated my father and us.

Google Review: As the son of a resident at the "Virgen del Faro" Care Home in Santander (Promaiorem Group), I feel compelled to file this complaint due to repeated instances of negligence and a lack of professionalism (at various levels, from nursing assistants to management) in handling incidents. With the honorable exception of the reception staff and some of the ward assistants, whose kindness is commendable, I will now describe our negative experience: 1. Falls and failed transfers that resulted in injuries to the resident. I consider this SERIOUS due to the lack of care and professionalism in handling the dependent resident. 2. The disastrous handling of these incidents, due to the inadequate measures taken in such situations. The responsible family member was not informed of the incident until they noticed it, preventing them from taking the necessary medical and care measures that the Care Home itself was not providing. What I consider VERY SERIOUS, due to the potential consequences of the lack of appropriate measures. 3. Finally, the incorrect issuance of nursing reports (full of inaccuracies and falsehoods, such as stating that she is independent, among others), which, after being pointed out, are repeated a week later in a similar episode. I must consider this EXTREMELY SERIOUS, as it indicates that the medical records they manage may contain errors and inaccuracies, running the risk of adopting inappropriate measures based on their interpretation (even maintaining these errors after being warned about them). In this public review, I am not specifying the concrete damages due to privacy concerns (since it involves my mother's health and privacy), but I obviously have all the documentation (diagnostic tests and medical reports) available to the Promaiorem Group Management should they wish to review it. In the meantime, I have to give it only one star (Google does not allow zero stars).

I have little good to say about this place. From the poor management, the inadequate work of some staff, to the lack of care for the elderly: they leave without underwear, lose their dentures, give the wrong medication (they forget to give it and give them double doses for the other doses), lateness on departures... it's a disgrace that these centers aren't supervised and more closely monitored by social services, and that people are allowed to be treated this way. We mustn't forget that in most cases, the elderly go to these centers because, unfortunately, they can't be cared for at home. They pay a high amount, but the treatment in no way corresponds to what they deserve.
