El Centro de día Sarriko recibe principalmente opiniones muy positivas de familias que destacan la calidad de la atención, el trato empático del personal y la variedad de actividades ofrecidas (terapias, ejercicio físico, actividades cognitivas y recreativas), así como las salidas al aire libre. Sin embargo, existe una crítica significativa sobre las instalaciones que se consideran deficientes y la gestión del centro, aunque se reconoce la dedicación del equipo de cuidadores, lo que sugiere problemas estructurales y de recursos más que de personal.

As a family respite center, it works wonderfully. A close friend recommended it to me; her mother was there and very happy with the care and attention her mother received. They also regularly go out for walks and sunbathe along the greenway of the old Bilbao-Plentzia railway line, which runs behind the center. Highly recommended.

It's a day center with both subsidized and private places, and from the first day I visited the facilities and spoke with the staff, I was very impressed. They offer all kinds of activities, including math and vocabulary exercises, gymnastics, crafts, bingo, spatial and temporal orientation, sunbathing and walks, music therapy, and musical performances. During her time there, my aunt was very happy with the other participants and the staff, who treated her with great care and empathy. I am so grateful to them.

The facilities are substandard and the care provided to residents is extremely poor. Despite being a subsidized center, the differences compared to other similar facilities are stark. No criticism is directed at the staff, as there is a clear lack of care, mismanagement, and dedication to serving our elderly on the part of the management. However, criticism is also directed at the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, whose criteria for awarding subsidies to centers should also be based on the actual quality of the services offered.
