Well... I've thought long and hard about writing this review. In fact, my case is a bit unusual. I'll tell you why it's something that worries me and that I haven't gotten over for years. My grandmother lived in one of those apartments for seniors, alone, but under supervision. She was independent, and although she used a walker, she was able to manage on her own. When Covid hit, we got a call saying she had fallen at home and had just gotten over a cold. Without letting us go see her, they told us that the best thing to do, and what they recommended, was to put her in this nursing home for a few days because they had a floor without Covid and she would be under close supervision. They took her there... (All this without letting us see her). This was done both by the building manager and the nursing home staff, due to Covid protocols. She was admitted for one night. In the morning, I called her, and she was fine. She spoke well, told me she had eaten croquettes, and since it was a video call, she was happy to see us all. (I don't know... it sounded strange to me. Like a goodbye.) Because we called each other every day. The thing is, that same afternoon/evening they told us she had died. That a nurse came in and found her like that. I don't understand how she could be fine and then suddenly... But the thing is, they wouldn't even let us go see her. And they told us that at the cemetery they would take her in a covered coffin (a coffin we didn't choose after paying for insurance all our lives), and that only three of us could go, without getting too close. At the cemetery, we watched from a distance as they took the coffin out and buried her. The end. My question is... Who can assure me that she was there? That my grandmother died that day? That it wasn't negligence? She went from being reasonably well to dying in a single day at the nursing home. Leaving the apartment, which had a waiting list for more people and a free room. And it's clear that with COVID there were too many people... And I don't even want to think about worse things... We never got to see anything of her or her. And I'll always have that doubt. I gave it one star so I could comment. Personally, I can't speak about the service or the facilities because we didn't see them in just one day, but it's true that some things didn't seem right to me. Thanks, but I needed to say this.

My mother has been here for just over a month, and we're very happy with the treatment. When we leave, she's calm. She became ill, and they quickly took her to the hospital. Good hygiene for both the patients and the facilities. Impeccable facilities, with terraces and a green area. They contact us at all times with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Amabir Horta.

Yesterday we were fortunate enough to participate in the Carnelstoltes celebration with the residents of Amavir, and we were delighted to witness their joy and laughter. They had a wonderful time. We also want to highlight the dedication, positivity, and creative ideas of ALL the Amavir staff, who were just as fun-lovingly dressed as the residents. We extend our sincere gratitude to them for the care and professionalism they provide to our elderly residents every day.

I had to give her one star because otherwise I can't post anything. Please don't bring your loved ones to this nursing home. My mother-in-law was here for only a month and a half (June 10, 2024 to July 31, 2024). She arrived with cognitive impairment but was physically very well. Due to the terrible care, even basic ones like eating and taking medication, she deteriorated rapidly. We admitted her to the hospital on August 1st, and she died on September 24th because they couldn't do anything for her due to the poor condition she was in. This isn't the only case; please check the reviews.
